Our community is feeling extra lucky this week! ☘️
A big thank you to our wonderful Activities Director for filling our facility with St. Patrick’s Day spirit. From festive bulletin boards to decorations throughout the building, she has made our home feel cheerful and full of holiday fun for our residents and staff!

Happy International Women's Day!

Today we celebrate the incredible women who have shaped our world with their strength, compassion, and wisdom. At Highlands, we are especially honored to be surrounded by remarkable women every day... our residents, team members, mothers, grandmothers, and friends!!

From sharing laughter in the hallways to passing down memories, advice, and traditions, the women in our community remind us of the power of resilience, kindness, and love.

Their journeys have helped build the world we live in today, and we are grateful to celebrate them!!

If you stop by our facility you may see some new faces!

We’re so excited to introduce the newest members of our Highlands family, our beautiful parakeets!

These sweet little birds have already brought so much joy, laughter, and peaceful moments to our community. Residents love watching them flutter about, listening to their cheerful chirps, and spending quiet time by their cage. There’s something so special about the comfort and happiness that animals bring, and our new feathered friends are no exception!

Be sure to stop by and say hello to our newest facility pets!! They’re settling in just perfectly!

A big thank you to Dani and her human, Madelyn, for spending time with our residents for a sweet pet therapy visit! 🐶✨

Talk about a treat-filled afternoon!! Our residents had the best time feeding Dani spoonfuls of whipped cream! The laughter and smiles said it all.

We’re so grateful for the happiness and comfort you bring to our community. We can’t wait for the next visit!

🌶️🔥 Chili Cook-Off Fun at Highlands! 🔥🌶️

What an incredible time we had at our Chili Cook-Off! The competition was fierce, the flavors were amazing, and the fellowship was even better!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful hospice representatives who participated!! Transitions Hospice Care - Rome, Georgia, Willowbrook Hospice, Tapestry Hospice, Affinity Hospice, PruittHealth, Amedisys, Inspire Hospice and Palliative Care, whether you brought your best chili recipe or donated a raffle basket. Your partnership and support mean so much to us and our residents. We are so grateful for each of you! ❤️

A very special thank you to Bill Collins, our amazing County Commissioner, City of Rome, GA - Government, for serving as our guest judge. We appreciate you taking the time to join us and help crown our winners!

Throwback Thursday

We’re taking it back to when Ms. Irene and Ms. Redonna, Transitions Hospice Care - Rome, Georgia brought the fun with an Aussie-Themed Trivia day!

From learning fun facts about Australia to lots of laughs and friendly competition, our residents had an absolute blast testing their knowledge. There’s nothing better than a little trivia, great company, and memories made together.

Thank you, Ms. Irene and Ms. Redonna, for always bringing such creative and engaging activities to our community! We can’t wait for the next themed adventure!

We are excited to announce our first annual Chili Cook-off!

Some of our amazing hospice reps will be competing with our wonderful staff for the best chili!!

Who will win?? We will leave that to the judge, Commissioner Bill Collins!
