This week is . Its a great time to learn more about how to spot an overdose, how to handle an overdose, how to prevent an overdose and to remember those we lost and those who are still fighting the battle against

Sometimes it can be hard to tell if someone is having an overdose or not, if you think it could be the case treat it like it is, you may just save a life. Use this list as a guideline of things to look for if you suspect an overdose

Back to school season is upon us! This can be a hard time for children and adolescents as the new school year can present new stressors and anxiety. This can be a very common issue for teenagers and adolescents. There are signs that parents can look for including

🔸 Sudden changes in mood or sleep

🔸 Complaints of headaches or stomachaches

🔸 Withdrawing from friends or family

🔸 Avoiding schoolwork or dreading school

🔸 Increased irritability or clinginess

There are ways to help kids open up and talk to you about their anxiety and fears.

✨Use open ended questions to keep the conversation in their control

✨validate and normalize their feelings

✨Give them space to work things out before jumping in for a solution

✨seek help from a professional if necessary

✨check in with the school counselor if needed.
