On Monday, February 2, our recently renovated addition to our office was completely flooded due to a building-wide sewage backup. We were blessed with a rapid response from the Sight & Sound team, Graybill Plumbing and RestorePlus to try to minimize damage.

However, we learned today that remediation and repair will likely take two months. During that time we will be without 30% of our patient rooms. We will be creative to minimize disruptions to patient care and ask for your patience. Thank you.

Consider Azelastine nasal spray for prevention and treatment.

This just one study, but when I weigh the risk vs benefit of using azelastine to prevent catching a cold, the flu, or COVID, it's worth it for me!

More studies are needed to confirm these results, but we are seeing A LOT of coughs, colds, flu and COVID.

"The spray also appeared to help against other respiratory viruses. Rhinovirus, which often causes colds, was the most common non-COVID infection detected. Only 1.8% of azelastine users tested positive for rhinovirus compared to 6.3% of placebo users, translating to about a 71% lower risk of infection. Overall, 8.4% of azelastine users had at least one laboratory-confirmed respiratory infection during the study, compared to 18.8% of placebo users."

Azelastine is available over the counter. We also stock it for $6.59 a bottle (60 sprays).

Alere Family Health is currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. Be a part of an innovative practice model (direct primary care) providing care to a diverse population of patients from newborns to the elderly. Office visits are 30-60 minutes in length. Typically 6-8 patients/day. Get to know and truly care for your patients. Practice is limited to 600 patients / physician. Dispense medications, draw blood, provide immunizations, assist with procedures - no two days are ever the same. We're hosting a Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for children ages 5-11, Monday, Nov. 29 at The Factory Ministries. Walk in any time between 3:30-6:30pm. Guardians must be present. If this is your child's second dose, you must show their CDC Record Card indicating it has been at least 21 days since their first shot.
