Have you ever seen such a pretty avocado toast? 😍
After a morning of errands, and a terrific stretch session at Stretch'd, we headed to Jacques Brasserie for brunch and this avocado toast is a SHOW STOPPER! 😮
It’s got tomatoes, caper berries, peppadew peppers and Kalamata olives - and it was like a flavor 💣! And you know love any excuse to ! 😉

I’m channeling our vacation from last summer… and suddenly it’s all Greek to me. ✨🇬🇷✨
Tonight I made grilled Citarella lamb chops marinated in rosemary, garlic, salt & pepper, lemony potatoes, and charred broccolini, with a side of Cedar's Foods tzatziki.
This is one of my favorite meals, and it felt like a hug to make it for myself after a manic, er… Wednesday. 🤣

First solo grill of the season and it feels like a love letter to warm weather. 🔥
I grilled a Citarella Berkshire pork chop on the electric Weber Grills served it with a yellow tomato & grilled olive bread salad on the side, with something green to keep it honest! 😉

“Oh my GOSH!” 😳
I have never uttered that phrase after every bite of a dish before in my life. 😂 The stranger seated next to me chuckled and said “So I should order that, huh?” 🤣
And yet, this roasted leg of Sandro's Restaurant *easily* vaulted into one of the best things I’ve ever eaten - anywhere in the world. 🏆
The presentation alone is a show stopper. 🤩 And then the lamb was fall of the bone tender, earthy yet bright with the sauce that had some acidic notes, and the potatoes were perfection.👌
I say it often, and it’s true. Sandro’s is the best Roman food outside of Rome. Hands down. Full stop.
Put this place on your list for when you come to New York, or when you feel like riding the 4/5/6 uptown! 🚊

Channeling spring the way I know best—with my forever favorite Italian salsa verde from Jonathan Waxman! 🌱💚🍃
When I was growing up in little ol’ Roscoe, I thought all salsa was red. Then I got to college and realized there was a salsa verde made with tomatillos and jalapeños and onions. Then I in my twenties I went to Barbuto 🍴 and realized Italians make a totally different version of salsa verde!
I make this recipe two or three times a year and somehow it always tastes briny, herby, a little punchy, and exactly what everything else on the table needs.
It’s a mess of herbs, arugula, capers, garlic, olive oil, and a little anchovy paste which I swear, just turns into salty (not fishy) goodness! 😋
Spoon it over roast chicken, grilled fish, crispy potatoes… or, honestly, anything that could use a little love! 🌿

Roman nights done right at Sandro’s! 🇮🇹
We met friends for dinner last night and shared everything the way you’re supposed to, starting with cacio e pepe and their famous lemon pasta, a crisp Caesar and radicchio with orange and walnuts, passed around the table between the four of us.
Then I had the most delicate swordfish with marinated tomatoes - it’s my fav!
We finished the meal by sharing their housemade cookies and pistachio gelato because their pistachio desserts are always lights out delicious. If you go, whatever pistachio dessert is on the menu is a MUST!

Beautiful meal, seamless service, and the kind of company that makes everything taste even better! 🤗

I batch and freeze the broth for easy, quick dinners that still feel a little special — especially after the week I’ve had at work. 🫩
Tonight I made it with cod, shrimp, and cockles — those tiny, sweet little mollusks from with some crunchy olive bread for dipping!
This was a little spicy, very filling, and really is my favorite comfort meal.

Fluke Milanese on repeat lately — crispy and piled high with all these colorful veggies! 🍅 🌱
I bought this on the way home, made the salad and marinated tomatoes while the fluke reheated in the air fryer, and voila! 🪄
This is my favorite easy pescatarian meal because Citarella does the work! 🙌

It’s all Greek to me! 🇬🇷 I have been craving Greek food, and chose to make it sheetpan style for an easy weeknight dinner!
I air-fried some split baby potatoes I seasoned with rosemary, garlic, salt & pepper for 10 minutes, then added zucchini, green beans, and red onion I seasoned with garlic, salt, pepper, and Greek oregano, and shrimp I marinated in olive oil, lemon zest, garlic, dill, salt & pepper for 8 minutes.
When everything was cooked I added Kalamata olives and artichoke hearts, with some low-fat feta, and a side of tzatziki sauce I bought at the grocery store.
This was so easy to make, and delicious to eat! 😋 And best of all, I have leftovers for later this week!
What are your favorite sheetpan meals? I think I could get into these for weeknights!
