Book online from link above. What is Reiki? Reiki is Japanese for 'universal life energy'. It is not a religion. Like radio waves, energy exists all around us. Similar to fine tuning radio waves on your radio, a Reiki Practitioner works with universal energy to aid in restoration of your energy balance and vitality on all levels - emotional, mental, physical and spiritual. You do not need to believe or understand how it works in order for it to work; however, the more open minded you remain and willing to take responsibility in altering your energy or negative life patterns into positive the more effective it will be in your healing. Can anyone do it? There are three levels in Reiki. I am currently Level II practicing and preparing for level III. Level I is an introductory to Reiki and is focused on the self healing through opening the student’s heart to the universal flow of love embodied by Reiki. Level II students learn symbols used in Reiki. Main symbols taught at this level are: the power symbol, the mental or emotional symbol and the distance symbol. They focus on Universal Energy specific purposes. Student receive a higher level of attunement and energy vibrations. In this level, the student can better heal emotional and mental issues as well as travel across time and distances to heal someone - called Distant Healing. Level III is the Mastery Level. Once at Level 3 and with the appropriate attunements, a Master can now teach Reiki to others.. In order to pass level three, the student has to know the hand positions, the symbols and the mode to pass attunement on to others. In this level, practice and understanding of Reiki is at a much deeper level than the other two levels.
