American Medical Technologists (AMT) is the nationally recognized certification agency for Medical Assistants, Medical Technologists, Phlebotomists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Laboratory Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, Molecular Diagnostics Technologists, Medical Administrative Specialists, Dental Assistants, and Allied Health Instructors. Those who certify with AMT automatically become a member of this mission-driven professional society with active state chapters. Going strong since 1939, AMT provides continuing education along with opportunities for networking and leadership to more than 100,000 allied health professionals. AMT is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) for its competency-based examinations.
