We are thrilled to announce our expansion into Needville with the opening of our brand-new Assisted Living & Memory Care residential home!

This beautiful new community has officially passed its final HHSC licensing inspection with zero citations, a testament to the dedication and quality standards we uphold.

Spotlight on Savannah Zamora – Our Future Healthcare Leader!

We are thrilled to highlight Savannah Zamora, a standout student from George Ranch High School on a Health Science Practicum for Seniors, who has made a lasting impact here at Village Forest Care Cottage!

This incredible program allows seniors to gain real-world experience in their chosen career paths, and Savannah selected Village Forest Care Cottage due to her passion for Nursing and Healthcare Administration. From day one, she has proven herself to be smart, personable, forward-thinking, and a natural problem-solver.

Savannah has played an instrumental role in our organization—supporting the onboarding and implementation of our Electronic Health Record system, engaging in resident activities, and assisting with key administrative tasks that have truly been invaluable to our team.

We’re so proud to share that Savannah is headed to College to study Nursing, and we know she’s destined to do amazing things.

We’re excited to share the installation of a standby generator to ensure uninterrupted care—no matter the weather!

With this new addition, our home will be fully operational during power outages, keeping essential systems running and our residents safe, secure, and comfortable.

Enhancing Memory Care Through Empathy!

At today’s in-service, we had the pleasure of hosting Todd with Accentcare Hospice & Palliative Care for a powerful “Walk in Their Shoes” training session. This hands-on experience allowed our team to step into the world of our residents living with dementia, helping us better understand the challenges these residents face every day.

Through sensory simulations and interactive activities, we gained deeper insight into how memory loss impacts perception, communication, and emotions. This training reinforced the importance of patience, compassion, and person-centered care, ensuring that we continue to provide the highest level of support to our residents.

A huge thank you to AccentCare for their creative and impactful training—helping us continue to grow as caregivers and deepen our commitment to compassionate care! 💙
