🌟 Meet our November Volunteer Spotlight, Bill! 🌟

Bill was a frequent visitor years ago when both of his in-laws were residents, Dick & Bonnie. He not only was a loving son-in-law, but he also became a good friend to other residents. Following their passing, he became a volunteer and has spent many outings and group events with us! Thank you for your humor, kindness, and dedication to making our residents world a better place!

💚 How long have you been volunteering at TVAL?
"About 2 years!"

💚 Favorite volunteer opportunity?
"When we went to the little zoo up in Ripon, "Great and Small Farms" - just seeing all the different animals and their interactions with all of us."

💚 A memorable resident?
"My in-laws, Dick and Bonnie."

💚 One thing you've learned from a resident?
"That's a tough one - just to be more joyful and enjoy the time you have with one another."

💚 A Thanksgiving tradition?
"We go hunting and then we go over by our son Kyle's house for a family get together... and I don't have to do any of the cooking!"

💚 One person that's inspired you in life?
"LouRae (his wife) for putting up with me!"

Our friends over at Rosendale UCC have been collecting plastic shopping bags for quite some time... once you collect a certain amount, it gets turned into a recycled bench! ♻️

We are blessed - they decided to donate their most recent bench to us here at Tower View for our residents! Look how beautiful it is, plaque and all. Thank you to everyone who made this possible! 💚

Today we visited Faris Gourmet Popcorn & Treats in Fond du Lac! We learned a lot and bought waaaayyyy to much! 😋

Did you know...
🍿 Faris began as just a college class project, then it turned into a full blown business!
🍿 They are women-owned!
🍿 They have tried over 350 flavors!
🍿 They have a Popcorn Advent Calendar with plenty of different delicious flavors!
