We visited Wisco Coffee Company & Eatery which used to be Mugs in Ripon! The cinnamon rolls were top notch 🙌🏽😋

🌟 Meet our first 2026 Volunteer Spotlight, Kathy M.! 🌟

Yes.. another Kathy!! Kathy M. is Chanel's grandmother-in-law who travels all the way from West Bend to spend time with the residents! She is a crafty gal who is a phenomenal baker - so we get to enjoy a few of her talents! Thank you Kathy for not only volunteering, but being one of our top Facebook fans and helping share the goodness of Tower View! We love ya!

💚 How long have you been volunteering at TVAL?
"3 years!"

💚 Why did you start volunteering?
"I have always volunteered for various organizations when I was a stay at home mom. Worked for 25 years and when I stayed with my mom for a week in her assisted living, I went with her to "craft days." It was so fulfilling and rewarding for me. I decided I wanted to do it at TVAL when the opportunity arose."

💚 Favorite volunteer activity/event?
"I taught the TVAL residents how to make soap with the melt and pour method!”

💚 Memorable resident(s) & why?
"I actually have two. Sandy, where my goal was to make her smile! I felt a connection with her in a way I can't explain. I always thought about her often. And then there is Donna, no filter and funny one liners! I worked with her on a ceramic project and she wanted me to do all the work. I got her to take turns painting and we created a project that she ended up designing."

💚 A new years goal for 2026?
"I really would love to come to TVAL and volunteer more... if only I didn't live an hour away."

💚 Favorite thing to do in the winter?
"For me, wintertime is traveling to warm places or just being home baking and cooking, which are my two favorite things to do!"

Thank you to everyone who came last night to our annual Christmas Open House party ❤️🎅 We had a full-house which gave us full hearts! Big thank you to Kim, Becca, and everyone else who provided the delicious food, to Marcie and the teachers from Rosendale-Brandon School District and the kids/families from Rosendale UCC for caroling, to our bartenders Kathy & Charlie, and to our wonderful staff for helping all night - even with set up and clean up. 💚🎄

We might still be on a sugar high from today's outing to Tamara's the Cake Guru in Oshkosh! It was not only delicious but beautifully decorated for Christmas! 🎀🧁
