🌟 Meet our April Volunteer Spotlight, Enie! 🌟
Enie has been volunteering at Tower View pretty much ever since it opened! She's been an impactful member of the Rosendale and surrounding communities, but also to Tower View as she knows SO many people! She's always up to chat, knows lots of funny stories/jokes, and always wanting to help others out. Thank you Enie for your years of service!
💚 What is your connection to TVAL?
"I started out as a visitor attending Coffee Clutches. My friend Karen’s mother was the 4th resident of the original 16 in the facility when it first opened in 2002. The Coffee Clutch provided a meeting place for both friends and family from the community."
💚 Why do you volunteer at TVAL?
"I was a visitor at the Coffee Clutches 2002-2022. I helped move my friend Karen to Tower View in 2022 from a different facility that was not meeting our expectations. I could see that this local gem provided both safety and care to meet the resident’s needs. I saw how they helped the residents overcome their anxiety and find peace. TVAL has opened my eyes to Karen’s world, and I appreciate the care they provide to all residents of this community."
💚 What is one proud accomplishment of yours?
"The most recent accomplishment I’m most proud of is that I’m able to help my friend Karen with her finances, medical care giving needs, and ensuring she is getting the best care possible."
💚 Someone who inspires you in life?
"As a young girl, Karen’s mother was a big inspiration in my life. Losing my own mother at a young age, she took me under her wing and treated me as her own, and provided me with a great example of what a mother should be."
💚 What is your favorite Spring activity?
"Riding my bike down the trail and around town visiting friends in the community."
