Community providers support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) with a broad array of services from building skills in the home, such as eating, dressing, and personal hygiene, to career planning and employment supports to find and maintain jobs. These community-based services are funded almost exclusively through Medicaid. Congressional leaders are discussing proposals that could significantly reduce Medicaid funding. These cuts would have devastating consequences for people with I/DD. Take action today against proposed Medicaid cuts: ancor.org/amplifier.

On December 18, we culminated two season-long Upstream Arts residencies with “The Art of Me” Performance and Photo Exhibit. Through drumming, dance, theatrical scenes and poetry, artists from our Adult Service took center stage in the midst of an exhibit showcasing portraits of their Senior Service peers. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
