Are you looking to GO GREEN? There are lots of ways to conserve energy and improve your surroundings. Below find eight easy steps to become more eco-friendly:
💡Turn it Off: : Turn off electronics when you are not using them. Not only is turning lights off when you are not using them good for the environment, it is also good for your wallet!
🖥 New Technology: Are you in the market for a new computer? Maybe a TV, or even just some light bulbs? There are a lot of eco-friendly electronics that use less energy when you use them. Save money and reduce your carbon footprint.
🚫 Say NO to Plastic: Our oceans are filled with straws, plastic water bottles, and plastic shopping bags. Drink from a reusable water bottle, use paper or silicon straws, and use a sturdy reusable shopping bag. Our fishes and turtles will thank you!
💪 Walk it Out: Looking to get fit? Taking a stroll to your local grocery store for that one item you forgot not only helps you get those steps in, but also reduces that amount of pollution you would emit if you had driven to the store.
♨️ Warm it Up: Looking to heat up that leftover pizza? Zap it in the microwave instead of using the oven to cut down on electricity.
🥦 Work on Your Green Thumb: Growing your own veggies is not only satisfying but also helps the environment. Plus starting a raised bed looks beautiful for the whole community!
🚮 Reduce Food Waste: Make yourself aware of what you already have before a shopping trip. Eliminating buying items you don't need will not only reduce your impact but also save you some cash!
🚎 Drive Less: Utilize public transportation or ride share services instead of driving yourself to reduce the amount of cars on the road. Plus, drop-off and pick-up curbside on a rainy day doesn’t sound too bad either.
