Where is Troy?
And what is happening with Get Me Goings
The Following is a letter written by Troy that he posted on IG:
Good-Bye Roseville, you loved me, you welcomed me, and you have spit me out.
One June afternoon, in 2014, a young 39 year old man had a vision to change the massage
industry and to create a place where people would not lay in the dark, half naked with candles,
could get body work done that not just made it feel better but help improve the body to be more
active and give results that laugh. He had a dream of loud music, an open area with therapists
all working while enjoying a conversation amongst the patients.
This man walked into Dr. Zawadas Chiropractic Center and began to start building his vision.
With the help and guidance of Scott Zawada, this young man started to build a name for
himself. He worked very hard. He would work 7 days a week, he would give free massages to
show people who he really was. He worked long hours perfecting his craft and studying to be
better. He applied new tactics and created some of his own. He was all in.
The Love and Welcoming
In 2018, this young man went on his own and created a clinic that was exactly what he visioned.
Get Me Goings Sports and Medical Massage Center quickly became recognized as THE
PLACE TO GO for bodywork. While doing this, people began to see a shift in the massage
industry. What used to be a female dominant industry, started to see more male therapists doing
the same type of work this young man did. The industry was changing.
From the time Get Me Goings opened, over 50 therapists came to learn, work and gain the
confidence needed to do the type of work that was being done at Get Me Goings. Troy took time
to train these individuals and help them become better therapists. Troy promoted them and help
them all gain the clientele necessary to sustain a lucrative career in this industry. Of the over 50
therapists, 17 of them opened up their own clinics all within the Roseville city limits. In fact most
of them were within a 5 mile radius of Get Me Goings.
This young man is now 50 years old, and I am so grateful that I was brave enough to start
something like this. It makes me happy that I impacted so many lives. I can honestly say that
there are 17 people whose lives are better for having come through my doors. And for the
patients, there are over 7,000 people that have come in and trusted Get Me Goings for their
injuries and pain. All of this coming from one person's dream and the actions and sacrifice it
took to make that dream a reality.
The SPIT OUT
And now, I have been spit out. All of the years I have given to the City, with my business, my
donations, my charity, my employment opportunities, my contributions to the community have all
come to an end.
As many of you know, I decided to downsize and go back to having a private practice. In
Roseville, even though you have a State License, you must acquire a massage business permit,
and you can not work until this permit has been issued. I did not think it would be a lengthy
process, even though it says “Could take up to 45 days to complete this”. I have had a massage
permit for over 15 years, this shouldn’t take long was my thought process.
On Monday the 22nd of September, the day before I was to conduct business at my new
establishment, I received a text message from my new landlord stating that he was contacted by
Roseville PD and was told that if I worked in his building without a new permit, that they would
shut his building down. I was under the impression that my permit was still valid. So I contacted
Roseville PD immediately and was informed that because I am changing address and business
name, I had to apply for a new permit. So I did. Weeks went by and no permit. I then did what
any person would do that has bills piling up, couldn't work for weeks, and had spent a lot of
money setting up his new place. I worked at a temporary location so that I may earn an income.
I posted about this temporary location on Instagram, only to have a vindictive individual who I
have trained, got him established, helped him develop his skill set, and who stole all of my
clients information when we parted ways, screenshot the IG post and sent it to the lady in
charge of permits. On a Saturday morning, at 8 am, I received an email from the lady who
issues permits with the screenshot that was sent to her and a warning that I was verbally told
that I can not work without a permit.
That following Tuesday, I sent an email asking for an update in which I was told that there are
still two more therapists ahead of me. Meanwhile, my other two former employees, who filed for
their permits the same time I did, had received their permits two weeks prior.
Last Thursday, on October 9th, I received a phone call from a gentleman that needed to get his
son in before Friday as his son plays high school football and he was told to come see me. I
took the appointment only to find out that on Friday morning, the 10th of October at 11:30am, I
was raided by Roseville PD and was cited with 8 violations. There was no son that needed help.
It was a sting operation set up by the lady who issues permits.
Now, it's been 4 weeks, and it doesn't look like I will be getting a permit to work in Roseville
again. I have no idea how much the citations are going to be but not having worked for so long
has really hurt me financially. I can not wait any longer for my permit. Unfortunately, this one
individual has enough power to ruin a man's life. A man who gave so much of himself to the
community. A man, who would stop what he was doing to help someone that needed to come in
and see him. A man, who took time away from his family to build this business. It's all gone now.
I will be looking for other cities to move my practice. This isn't the last you have heard from me. I
truly believe in God's plan and I am eagerly waiting to see what he has in store for me. What
may seem like a tragedy, could possibly be one of the greatest miracles he has given me. Only
time will tell.
Thank you to those who have always supported me; who have always stayed true to me even
though there were other options available to them. Thank you to those who have trusted me
with not only themselves, but with their friends and family. I love each and everyone of you.

That letter was posted a few days ago. Now for the update.
I am very anxious to send this out as I am not sure if the person that is reporting my actions to the Roseville PD is on this email list, but I have to take that chance since I need to move forward and put my life back together. This has placed such a hardship on me and I am going to have to work my butt off to overcome this. I've always worked hard but in a few weeks, I have felt that one individual has destroyed everything that I have worked for.
However, God is great and what may seem like darkness, may become the brightest thing you see. Every night has morning, a new day, a bright future.
I have located a place that I never would have found had this not happened to me! And I am so excited to show you all my new private studio. It is in the process of being built out to my liking. They are painting it in the colors I want, they are putting in the cabinets that I want, the flooring that I want, and all at no extra charge! There are many benefits to my new location that I can not wait to show you all!
I don't want to give the address out just yet. I want to make sure all of my city permits are finalized before making the announcement of me opening up my books. Everything should be ready this week, and Ill move in this week and I hope to open my books up at the end of this week. So again, thank you all for being so patient and understanding. I love you all.
