Our staff have been having a great experience at National Association of State Head Injury Administrators - Nashia annual conference hosted in Maine. Staff were able to snuggles with dogs from Mission Working Dogs (the NASHIA services project), discuss the Resource Facilitation model, and network with organizations from across the nation.

A brain injury can affect how a parent is able to care for their child, which may influence the child’s development and their relationship with the parent. Although a brain injury does not change a parent’s love, the physical, cognitive, and emotional changes can still have a big effect on parenting and family life.
We are piloting this support group as a way to provide support to families in this situation.
If you have a youth interested in joining, please email Wendy Hoffman at WendyH@braininjurymn.org for additional information
