Mission: End child abuse & neglect. Our proven programs help families solve real-life challenges and achieve lasting results.

We are a non-profit community based child abuse prevention agency operating Family Resource Centers which cultivate communities by empowering parents and strengthening families through Prevention, Early Detection, Intervention and Treatment programs. We directly impact the lives of over 5,000 children and individuals across the Sierra-Sacramento region. Another 3,000 families participated in 80 outreach events linking them to countless community resources and learning about prevention and early intervention programs.

For more than 18 years, KidsFirst has used the Parents as Teachers curriculum to help families in Placer County build strong, nurturing connections and confidence in their parenting journey.
