February is Domestic Violence Awareness Month đź’ś

It’s important that we challenge a common question: why don’t people experiencing abuse “just leave”? The reality is that leaving can be one of the most dangerous and complicated times for someone in an abusive situation. Fear, financial dependency, emotional manipulation, threats, isolation, and lack of support are just a few of the barriers survivors face.

Rather than placing blame, let’s commit to listening, believing, and offering support without judgment.

This January, during National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, we’re raising awareness, supporting survivors, and working to prevent exploitation before it starts. Awareness saves lives, and together, we can protect the most vulnerable.

Human trafficking impacts more than 24.9 million people worldwide at any given time — and girls and women are the most affected. They account for over half of forced labor victims and nearly all s*x trafficking victims. These numbers represent real lives, real stories, and an urgent need for awareness, prevention, and action.
