With Veterans Day around the corner, we're sharing information that could change everything for families struggling to pay for dementia care.
In this week's episode, guest Suzette Graham, CEO of Patriot Angels, reveals a little-known VA benefit that millions of veterans and widows qualify for—but most have never heard of. We're talking thousands of dollars monthly to help cover memory care, assisted living, or home health costs.
From heartbreaking stories of sacrifice to surprising eligibility requirements, this conversation uncovers why so few veterans are accessing the support they've earned.
If you're caring for a veteran or military spouse with dementia, this is a must-listen.

We wanted to take a moment to share something truly special that recently happened at The Terraces of Roseville. As part of our Living the Dream program—a unique initiative created to help our residents achieve meaningful dreams—we had the honor of granting one of those dreams in a way that deeply touched us all.

One of our residents, who experienced a traumatic brain injury at the age of six, is having her 60th birthday in December. For years, she had dreamed of visiting Disneyland, but because she didn’t meet the criteria for many existing wish or grant programs—she wasn’t yet a senior or considered terminal—her wish remained out of reach.

Thanks to our Living the Dream program, we were able to step in and make her dream a reality. Sending her to Disneyland was more than just a trip—it was a powerful and emotional experience for her and for all of us who had the privilege of being part of it.

Living the Dream is more than just a program—it’s a reflection of our culture, our values, and our commitment to going beyond care. It’s moments like these that not only lift the spirits of our residents but deeply inspire all of us involved. Thank you for allowing us the space and support to bring dreams like this to life.

Not all memory care is created equal—and what worked 20 years ago isn't enough for today's residents.
In this week's episode, guest Maggie Mariello, a memory care director with over 25 years of experience, shares the shocking story of a man who failed at three communities before finally thriving. The difference? A science-based program that understood his life story, not just his diagnosis.
If you're touring memory care communities right now, this episode will change the questions you ask.
