The story of a blind girl

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, “now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”

The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying:

“Just take care of my eyes dear.”

This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations.

Life Is A Gift

Today before you think of saying an unkind word–
think of someone who can’t speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food–
think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife–
think of someone who is crying out to God for a companion.

Today before you complain about life–
think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children–
think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn’t clean or sweep–
think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive–
think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job–
think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another–
remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down–
put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around.

Life is a gift – Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and Fulfill it.

This one is for the BRUNOs:
The first 99 times I watched Encanto my focus was on Luisa. So strong.. too strong really. Figuratively and Literally shouldering all the burden of not just her family, but the town. Carrying a load no person should have to bear on there own. Worst of all believing this is where her worth lies.
On the 100th viewing, my eyes were on Bruno. Where Luisa's curse was Burden, Bruno's was Blame. (I'll let you process what that means for a minute) He had to measure every word he said. If you have children or husbands or brothers, picture them trying to filter their words. He grew up walking on eggshells. He can't tell a friend eating too much "Dude, if you keep eating like that your going to gain weight" because when they gain weight, they don't blame their eating habits, they blame Bruno. He joked about rain on his sisters wedding day and was blamed for the hurricane. Truth is he didn't MAKE any of those things happen, even if he saw them happen.
Luisa is always seen in the company of the donkey, beasts of burden. Bruno is seen in the company of rats, the despised and ostracized. Camilo describes him like a monster lurking in the night as if talking to him means your inevitable doom. He left (hid away) to save Maribel from that same fate. He diligently worked to fill the cracks and hold his home and family together. As he is spotted moving through shadows while they sing the Bruno song, I am aware that he knows what they say about him and accepts that as his lot in life.
There have been plenty tributes to Luisa and those cursed with STRENGTH. This is my tribute to Bruno and those cursed with INSIGHT. Those who can see what others can not. Those who have to bite their tongue. Those who are well meaning but others still see the worst in them. Those who hold things together at great personal cost. This is for you😉

“This 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud lady, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o’clock, with her hair fashionably coifed and makeup perfectly applied, even though she is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today. Her husband of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, she smiled sweetly when told her room was ready. As she maneuvered her walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of her tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on her window. “I love it,” she stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy. “Mrs. Jones, you haven’t seen the room …. just wait.” “That doesn’t have anything to do with it,” she replied. “Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn’t depend on how the furniture is arranged, it’s how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it. It’s a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I’ll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I’ve stored away, just for this time in my life.” She went on to explain, “Old age is like a bank account, you withdraw from what you’ve put in. So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories Thank you for your part in filling my Memory bank. I am still depositing.” And with a smile, she said:
“Remember the five simple rules to be happy: 1. Free your heart from hatred. 2. Free your mind from worries. 3. Live simply. 4. Give more. 5. Expect less”

We are the Wandering souls... the Volunteers...

We are the ones who visit other stars and star systems in their hour of greatest need...

We dabble Sunshine wherever we go... and sprinkle stardust on all those whose lives we touch...

So often we end up being the Wounded Healers, for we tend to open our hearts... We cannot bear to see other’s suffering, yet so very often end up suffering ourselves... Yet, strangely, it is through our own wounds that we heal others...

We often gaze upon this planet, in great puzzlement...We simply cannot understand why people want to fight... or kill each other... When two parties fight, we tend to be caught in the middle, for somehow we always seem to see both sides of the coin...

We are the Peace makers... the flower children...
We love to frolic amongst nature... at home in the veldt.... we hug trees... we treasure flowers... we tend to take time to run barefoot in the rain and simply soak up the wonderful Art of Beingness that Nature provides in great abundant plentitude...

We love to run with wolves... and we pick up the stray cats and dogs... indeed, the stray people too...

We love animals with a passion and cannot bear to see injury done to them...We tend to treat out pets as human beings and often love them more than do the two-legged ones...

We look at this whole planet and the way it is run, in great puzzlement ... We simply do not feel at home here... Deep in the very recesses of our soul, we remember other, more evolved ways of Living and the sheer Art to SHINE...

We are the Lightbearers and the Warriors of Light....We are the Ones that stem from way before time...

We are more than we ever let on... We simply KNOW more... Yet, seldom we share what is there with just anyone....

We are the sensitives... we FEEL... We SEE with the eyes of the VISIONARY... We sense things... we read the invisible language of the cosmic Masters...We are surrounded by myriad Beings of Light and Higher Hierarchy of Masters....

The world often calls us the FOOLS... the ones who simply do not fit the norm... Then we smile and carry on walking the Path of the Fool, for the Fool’s Path always leads to wisdom and insight... It is the Path of Initiation into the Higher States of Consciousness... and few have the guts to survive...

We are the Wanderers... the Volunteers...

At 40, Franz Kafka (1883-1924), who never married and had no children, walked through the park in Berlin when he met a girl who was crying because she had lost her favourite doll. She and Kafka searched for the doll unsuccessfully.
Kafka told her to meet him there the next day and they would come back to look for her.
The next day, when they had not yet found the doll, Kafka gave the girl a letter "written" by the doll saying "please don't cry. I took a trip to see the world. I will write to you about my adventures."
Thus began a story which continued until the end of Kafka's life.
During their meetings, Kafka read the letters of the doll carefully written with adventures and conversations that the girl found adorable.
Finally, Kafka brought back the doll (he bought one) that had returned to Berlin.
"It doesn't look like my doll at all," said the girl.
Kafka handed her another letter in which the doll wrote: "my travels have changed me." the little girl hugged the new doll and brought her happy home.
A year later Kafka died.
Many years later, the now-adult girl found a letter inside the doll. In the tiny letter signed by Kafka it was written:
"Everything you love will probably be lost, but in the end, love will return in another way."

💖Love this analogy I saw today. ☕️
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shaking your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee? 🤔 “Well because someone bumped into me, of course!” Wrong answer. You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would’ve spilled tea.
*Whatever is inside the cup, will spill out.*
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It’s easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what’s in my cup?” When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratefulness, peace, and humility?
Or, anger, bitterness, harsh words, and reactions?
You choose!
