Hardin County General Hospital
Are you a skilled clinical laboratory professional looking to lead in a supportive, community-focused hospital? Hardin County General Hospital is seeking a lab manager and provide leadership in our COLA-accredited clinical laboratory.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to join a dedicated, experienced, and friendly team of laboratory professionals who are passionate about quality patient care.

🔬 Position Overview:
The Lab Manager will oversee the daily operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring compliance with COLA, CLIA and state regulations. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, occasional bench work will be required to support the team and maintain continuity of patient services.

🧪 Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support laboratory personnel in performing moderate and high complexity testing
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (CLIA, COLA)
• Maintain and monitor quality control and quality assurance programs
• Validate and implement new test procedures and instrumentation
• Provide training, competency assessments, and continuing education for lab staff
• Serve as technical liaison between the laboratory, physicians, and nursing staff

✅ Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field (required)
• ASCP or equivalent certification (e.g., MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP)) (preferred)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory performing high-complexity testing
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, LIS systems, and quality standards
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
