In this month’s live patreon class, we will be exploring some of my favorite wild fruits and how to prepare them. I have been especially obsessed with dehydrating fruit leathers and whole fruits lately, so I’m excited to share my excitement. And let’s not forget jams!!

To attend class, you can sign up for the Hawthorne tier of my Patreon, or you can purchase the post individually. Link in bio and below.

As ever, I will post the recording on Patreon for members to view anytime they like. There is a growing library of recordings over there that members get access to!

Another installment of the Hands on Plants Series is up on YouTube! In this episode I visit and we talk about building soil for vegetable farming with the help of sheep, as well as their philosophies hopes and dreams in regenerative agriculture. This one was incredibly inspiring to film- and a sheep tried to kiss me in the process! Check it out at the link below or visit my YouTube channel!

Ate some of these on our hike the other day. I only eat a few, partially because they taste so strong and partially because they aren’t super common, so it is good to leave plenty for the plant to reseed and for the birds to eat.

Look for these on your next mountain hike! They usually grow in wet areas, just like cramp bark.

Hawthorn tier members get access to all past posts and all past class recordings, in addition to live classes. It’s a steal of a deal, actually. 😚

Hope to see ya’ll at this class so I can spread this important knowledge of getting more plants out there in the world.

More about Adiantum School...

We offer classes in Seattle, WA on herbal medicine, edible and medicinal plants, foraging, and holistic health, including in-person herbal courses. Most classes are taught by local herbalist and forager Natalie Hammerquist.

Natalie founded The Adiantum School of Plant Medicine in June 2016 with the hope of creating a local community centered around plants and healing where people could connect, share resources, learn and make friends with similar interests.

Most people start with evening classes, of which there are several each month. Natalie teaches several beginner classes such as “Intro to Herbal Medicine” and “Starting a Home Apothecary.” She also teaches medicine making, and sometimes more intermediate and advanced classes.
