NeuroWorks Healthcare At NeuroWorks Healthcare, we specialize in Functional Neurology and it is our passion to help people

The examination and treatments available at NeuroWorks Healthcare LLC is based on functional neurology, a discipline that builds on clinical neuroscience and neurophysiology. Through Functional Neurology we use various strategies to help improve or re-establish optimal neurological processes. This process can be to improve athletic performance or to improve on impairments. The ultimate goal is to help improve or restore individuals who have had to deal with neurological or cognitive impairments. These impairments are best managed by one who is a Diplomate of Neurology or a Fellowship trained Functional Neurologist; they will be able determine and chose the most cautious and safe care to improve neurological function. Function is improved through the understanding of how the brain is activated by specific canalized pathways or inhibition of those pathways. These receptors have an impact on how we respond to our own internal environment, as well as, our external environment. With this in mind, we can apply techniques to help facilitate and/or inhibit output therapeutically. Therapeutic management of these conditions is accomplished through various interventions, which can include vision, balance, physical movement, and other neurologic channels. Therapeutic goals are determined by a thorough examination, assessment, review of records and consultation with the patient and additional specialists as required. Many of our patients have been through years of other types of care and recovery, and have struggled to live within the limits imposed on them by their injuries. As tertiary specialists, patients come to see us because they have not seen results with previous care that has been successful for others, or they may have been told there is not much more that can be done. As such we address each unique person with individualized treatments. Our approach is not focused on a diagnosis, rather it is focused on the most appropriate plan of action to correct the underlying neurological condition. Patients also seek our care to improve performance, whether it is for life or for athletics. We take pride in providing the most innovative treatments and approaches to enhance performance, whether it is to get back in the game or to stay in the game. The wonders of the human body are endless, we are a marvelous creation; having the ability to self organize, self develop and self repair. Even though the body has an ability to do marvelous things, there are times when constraints on the body limit what it is capable of doing. It is impossible to predict how responsive one's body and brain is to neurological applications. This unique and individuality makes us special, and also means everyone's care will be slightly different. We take pride in our ability to offer innovative, science—based approaches in the attempt to address what, for many, are profound limitations in their function and quality of life. We look forward to partnering with you and your support community to explore what your individual responses may bring to your life and your future. It is our hope that we can help you improve on those limitations; however, we must stress that we cannot make any promise of cure or improvement. After a careful intake process and examination, our clinical staff will discuss treatment options with you and, if there is a reasonable expectation of some degree of clinical improvement, offer you the option of continuing under care. At NeuroWorks Healthcare, we specialize in Functional Neurology and it is our passion to help people obtain healthier neurological function. Our focus is placed on exceeding the personal needs and the personal attention each patient deserves.

The American Chiropractic Association delivered a statement to the White House on Monday, March 23rd affirming that chiropractors are essential health care providers primarily in regards to treating neuromusculoskeletal pain patients (patients with brain trauma that require therapy, pain in their neck, back, head, shoulder, knee, etc...) https://www.acatoday.org/News-Publications/Newsroom/Coronavirus-COVID-19/Chiropractic-care-is-essential. The availability of Chiropractic care prevents patients with these symptoms from having to seek medical attention at urgent care centers and hospitals which can overload these facilities and put the patient at a much higher risk of coming into contact with and possibly getting infected with COVID-19.

We are still OPEN normal business hours and we continue to follow the CDC's guidelines and take the necessary precautions to protect our staff and patients.

Please know that for each patient who has visited our office over the past week, we are disinfecting the table and instruments after each patient. Dr Behrendt also washes his hands after every patient.

We schedule out patients to prevent overlap so there is minimal people in the office at one time.

If any patient has a fever, respiratory illness or has travelled outside of the country in the last 14 days they will not be treated and they must contact their primary physician.

Also if you have questions about COVID-19, the Georgia COVID-19 hotline number is (844) 442-2681.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We are here to help you and look
forward to seeing you again soon. Please stay safe and healthy!
