I am excited to announce that Dr. Samira Jafari will be acquiring my dental practice in Roswell, GA.

Dr. Jafari completed her undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University and received her doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University in 2013.
Dr. Jafari is passionate about dentistry and providing the best dental care to her patients. She is caring and highly skilled in all phases of restorative and cosmetic dentistry and has special interest in the mouth-body connection; viewing the mouth as the
gateway to our overall health.

Dr. Jafari considers herself a Georgia girl, having lived here most of her life. Her hobbies include reading, movies, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Jafari along with her husband,
Ethan, are the proud parents of two children.

Dr. Jafari will be assuming the dental practice as of May 30th as I will be retiring from dentistry and …..

We are open and using all necessary protocols to protect our staff and patients. We invite our patients to also protect their own health to achieve their optimal health. The American Dental Association (ADA) recognizes the unprecedented and extraordinary circumstances dentists and all health care professionals face related to growing concern about COVID-19. The ADA is deeply concerned for the health and well-being of the public and the dental team.

In order for dentistry to do its part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the ADA recommends dentists nationwide postpone elective procedures for the next three weeks. Concentrating on emergency dental care will allow us to care for our emergency patients and alleviate the burden that dental emergencies would place on hospital emergency departments.

As health care professionals, it is up to dentists to make well-informed decisions about their patients and practices. The ADA is committed to providing the latest information to the profession in a useful and timely manner.

Hello all! Dr Johnson has made the decision to close the office for the week . We hope this helps to flatten the curve of the spread of the coronovirus and keep our patients and staff healthy and safe. Debbie will be in the office for abbreviated hours this week. Dr Johnson and our hygienists care about their patients' overall health! Even elite athletes suffer from dental decay . There are many factors for this. We often see those in the wellness/fitness industries suffer from "I don't have any time" for needed dental appointments. Another factor is the frequent use of electrolyte replacement drinks and gels. The acid from the drinks can "etch" the enamel, then the sugar in those things feed the bacteria in the mouth to weaken the enamel. Relying on water is a better choice. Of course, regular visits to our office will allow for early detection and tooth preservation.

Athletes are more likely to have poor oral health because they often refuel with high-acid drinks - which can weaken tooth enamel and damage teeth.
