This past weekend, Dr. Fountain participated in the SheLeads Initiative Academy to learn more about navigating the political space from the best leaders in Georgia. While she does not intend to run for any office, Dr. Fountain will focus on increasing legislative involvement so that infants, children and parents will have an amplified voice.

We started our MLK Jr. weekend celebrating Dr. Sarah Vinson, one of our referring psychiatrist, who received the Ambassador Andrew Young Award at the Georgia State Capitol this morning! We also witnessed the call to action by to promote intellectual and financial health.

Yesterday, Dr. Fountain went to Clark Atlanta University to attend the Talk Touch Listen (TTL) During Hair Combing Routines training by her Infant Mental Health mentor, the Dr. Marva L. Lewis!!! Dr. Lewis’ TTL model is an awesome, culturally responsive infant mental health practice that we plan to implement at Play Wellness LLC in the future.

Today, Dr. Fountain attended the Georgia Alliance for Infant Mental Health (GA-AIMH) conference at Georgia State University. It was fun catching up with everyone while learning enhanced ways to assist babies, parents and families!

After eight years of formal training in infant mental health and taking the exam over the course of a two year period, Dr. Fountain is now endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Mentor - Clinical! There are currently one of two who holds this specific endorsement in the entire state of Georgia! Here’s to holistic healing for infants and parents!
