❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day from Fowler Chiropractic ❤️

Today is a good reminder to slow down and appreciate the things that bring real joy and meaning into our lives. For us, that joy comes from the people we get to help every single day.

There’s nothing better than seeing someone move with ease again, get back to the activities they love, or simply wake up without the pain that’s been holding them back. Those moments—big and small—are why we show up, and they’re the reason this work means so much to us.

Wishing you a Valentine’s Day filled with comfort, connection, and all the things that make life feel good. ❤️

Does it feel like almost everyone at work and your child's school is sick right now?

Well, welcome to cold and flu season.

At Fowler Chiropractic, we care about wellness. Especially your wellness.

Here are some ways to stay healthy this season.

EXERCISE- Regular physical activity helps your circulation and keeps your immune system active. Even a daily walk makes a difference. Here is your friendly reminder to do the rehab exercises that Dr. Fowler has taught you.

SLEEP- Your body does its best repair work while you are asleep. Missing out on rest makes it much harder for your system to fight off bugs.

DRINK WATER-Central heating can be incredibly drying. Drinking enough water keeps your respiratory system's natural defenses working properly.

DECOMPRESS- High stress levels can wear down your defenses. Taking a few minutes to decompress each day is more important for your health than you might think.

GET ADJUSTED-Your nervous system controls your immune response. Making sure your spine is aligned helps your body communicate and function at its best.

If you feel like your body needs a tune-up to handle the season, we are here to help.

Patient: "Hey Doc, I heard Phil the Groundhog went to see a low-force chiropractor this morning. Is he doing okay?"

Chiropractor: "Oh, he’s doing great! He was feeling a little 'weather-beaten' and stiff from all that hibernating."

Patient: "Did the adjustment help?"

Chiropractor: "Definitely. He walked out feeling so light and aligned that he didn't even see his shadow—he was too busy looking at his improved range of motion!"

Why does the cold make my joints ache? ❄️🦴

Have you noticed your knees or lower back acting up as soon as the thermometer drops? You aren't imagining it! Cold weather can cause your joint fluid to thicken and your muscles to tighten, leading to that "stiff" feeling.

Here are 3 quick tips from Fowler Chiropractic to keep you moving comfortably this winter:

1️⃣ Layer Up (Especially the Joints!): It sounds simple, but keeping your knees, wrists, and neck warm with thermal layers helps maintain blood flow to those sensitive areas.
2️⃣ The "Hydration Trap": We tend to drink less water when it’s cold, but dehydrated joints are stiff joints. Keep that water bottle handy!
3️⃣ Keep Moving (Even Indoors): When we're cold, we tend to huddle up and stay still. Gentle stretching or a 5-minute indoor walk every hour keeps your "joint lubricant" flowing.

Struggling to shake the winter stiffness? A quick adjustment can help take the pressure off your nervous system and get you back to feeling your best.

Getting back to the gym during the colder months is a great way to boost your mood and energy, but cold weather can make muscles and joints stiffer, increasing your risk of strain.

Here are 3 quick tips for a pain-free winter workout:

Warm Up Longer: Spend an extra 10 minutes on dynamic movements (like lunges or arm circles) to improve circulation before lifting.

Layer Up: Keep your joints warm while traveling to the gym to prevent "cold shock" stiffness.

Hydrate: You might not feel as thirsty as you do in summer, but your spinal discs need hydration to stay resilient!

Don't let a "New Year, New Me" goal turn into a "New Injury." Dr. Fowler can teach you specific, corrective exercises tailored to your body to help prevent back and neck pain before it starts.
