Case of the Week! Arthroscopic TTC fusion. Joint prep from both the tibiotalar and subtalar joints done through the scope. Minimally invasive. Quicker recovery. Awesome option for patients with minimal osseus deformity who are not TAR candidates!

Case of the week! T2DM, morbidly obese who has the unfortunate combination of an Ankle dislocation + Charcot + hematoma + seroma. Unreal initial X rays. Likely facing an above knee amputation. Reduction was performed via ex fix + abx beads + abx nail —> conversion to frame over nail (FRAIL) TTC fusion with percutaneous joint prep and calcium sulfate tibial backfilling—> fully fused TTC. Now still has his limb. Fully weight bearing in a CAM boot.
