Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home

Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home provides caring and compassionate service to families during their time of need. In 1929, O. D.

Weathersbee established Weathersbee Funeral Home in Rotan, Texas. By 1949, the firm had outgrown its old location and a new building was built in 1949, where the funeral home continues to operate today. Mac and Doug Weathersbee followed in their father's footsteps and eventually took ownership of the family operated funeral home in the early 1960's until retiring in 1996. For a time, a corporation owned and operated the firm. Then, in 2002, Doug and Lisa Ray purchased the funeral home and brought it back to its roots as a family-owned and operated funeral home. The tradition of care and respect that O.D., Mac and Doug Weathersbee have always shown continues today through the compassion that Doug and Lisa Ray have for the families they serve.

You may hear the terms viewing and visitation used interchangeably, but they can serve different purposes.
A viewing is typically a quiet time to pay respects in person, while a visitation is often a more open opportunity for family and friends to gather and offer support.
Both are meaningful in their own way.
