Today we celebrated Teresa Terry and her 16 years of service to Fisher County Hospital.

Through every role she’s stepped into, she’s shown what it looks like to care deeply, work faithfully, and support those around her.

Some people are called to care for others, and they carry that with them wherever they go.

April Polvadera is someone who brings both heart and dedication to the care she provides. In a place like Fisher County, that kind of compassion doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s what turns a hospital into something more, a place where people feel known, cared for, and supported.

After graduating from Rotan, she chose to stay close to home, serving the same community she’s always been a part of. For her, it means more than just a job. It’s giving back to the people and place that shaped her.

“I enjoy being able to make a difference in a patient’s life.”

Outside of work, you’ll find April building Legos, a hobby that reflects her creativity, patience, and attention to detail, the same qualities she brings into her role every day.

We’re hiring!

Fisher County Hospital is looking for a dependable Registered Nurse to join our team. This position plays an important role in providing direct patient care in the Emergency Room, Acute Care, and Swing Bed units while supporting a collaborative and patient-focused environment.

Duties include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while working closely with providers and other departments to ensure the highest standards of care.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Texas RN licensure. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (or willingness to obtain) are required.

Fisher County Hospital is looking for a dependable Cook / Kitchen Employee to join our team. This position plays an important role in preparing and serving nutritious meals for our patients, staff, and visitors while helping maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Duties include preparing meals according to menus and dietary guidelines, assisting with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.

Food service or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
