Established Family owned Auto Repair in Round Lake Beach is seeking a Full Time Service Manager.
Combining your in-depth automotive repair knowledge with your exceptional people skills, you'll manage customer relationships and serve as a liaison between technicians and customers. You'll also lead the technician team while assisting with the purchase of parts and materials.

Job Responsibilities
• Build repair estimates for customers.
• Communicate clearly with technician team and customers.
• Assign and schedule work duties to technician team
• Maintain and Develop customer satisfaction and retention.
• Assist business owner in daily operations.
Qualifications
Five years of Auto Service Manager experience with technical knowledge.
Prior experience as an automotive technician, and the ability to diagnose and recommend repairs to customer vehicles is a HUGE plus.
Must be able to successfully lead the Technician team to ensure customer satisfaction and quality of work.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills with teammates and customers. We work as a team which requires equal effort from everyone - This is crucial, you must be a team player.
Valid Driver’s License

Change oil, transmission fluid and filters
Install batteries and checks electrical systems
Tire maintenance
Install parts
Road test vehicles
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Must have Diagnostic Experience
Must have own full set of basic automotive tools with chest
Possess a valid driver's license at ALL times during employment
Show proof of completion of formal automotive repair technical education and previous work experience in the automotive repair field
Possess a ASE Certification in at least one area of expertise OR be willing to obtain certification within one year of hiring date
