This is the first hand built ceramic mug my daughter ever made when we started our pottery class this year.

But she hated it, and abandoned the thing.

Last week I set out to glaze it and save it from a life of exile.

It's my new favorite. 👁💙

Yesterday was my birthday and today is the first day of my 53rd year on earth.

I guess it's telling of my age, but it was a perfect day.

Coffee in bed.☕

Boba tea and shopping for henna cones with the Hubs and Kiddo. 🧋

Lots of calls and texts from family and friends who remembered me ☎

And a couple of great friends who invited themselves over to share well wishes after dinner.

It was chill, it was zen.
I felt totally loved.
And I'm so grateful to be here, now, and at this age and stage of my life.🙏

Supported by the steady flow of Reiki healing energy, you’ll be guided into deep grounding—connecting with the earth beneath you, your breath, and the quiet wisdom within.

Each participant will be given a small living plant to hold during the meditation, serving as a tangible anchor for presence, growth, and connection. As Reiki is channeled, the plant becomes a symbol and companion—reminding your body how to root, receive, and restore its natural balance.

The experience is calming, nourishing, and deeply regulating, helping to release stress, clear energetic congestion, and strengthen your sense of stability and belonging.

You’ll leave feeling centered, supported, and more connected to yourself and the world around you.

At the end of the session, you’ll take your plant home as a living reminder of the grounding, healing, and intention you cultivated—something to continue nurturing long after the meditation ends.

After the meditation there will be tea and conversation for integration.

This 1.5 hour casual event in Round Rock is led by 30 year Reiki practitioner and teacher Karisa Comparini who gives a brief description of how energy healing works, where and how Reiki began and a chat about the practical uses of energy work in our daily lives.

This informative discussion is followed by a 30 minute chakra meditation while each participant receives a few minutes of Reiki healing about the head and shoulders. There will be tea and and opportunity to ask questions at the end.

It is important to note that this is an informational and experiential event that seeks to spread awareness about Reiki and offers participants the opportunity to experience it in a casual community session. This is not a how to do Reiki course and participants will not be attuned to Reiki or be practitioners of Reiki when they leave
