REHABBING IN REAL TIME WITH DR. C.C.
On today’s episode…Dry Needling and the Neubie 💉⚡️
Heavy deadlifts ➡️ left-sided low back pain.
Instead of ignoring it… I addressed it.
Today I started with DE-LOADED single-leg strengthening on my left side and immediately felt that familiar low back discomfort. That told me something important: the weight isn’t the real problem — my back was being overloaded because something else wasn’t doing its job.
So I made an adjustment.
✔️ Dry needled my glutes and lumbar extensors to reduce protective guarding
✔️ Reset motor control
✔️ Retested single-leg loading on the Shuttle
Same movement.
Same load.
Significantly improved tolerance.
That’s what strategic intervention looks like.
Not “just rest.”
Not “push through it.”
Not random stretching.
Assess → Treat → Retest.
And yes — while managing my back, I also had some bilateral knee irritation after 4 hours of sand volleyball. That’s where the Neubie came in. ⚡️
The Neubie allows us to:
• Improve neuromuscular activation
• Reduce joint irritation
• Improve movement efficiency
• Restore load tolerance faster
Recovery doesn’t mean stopping.
It means adjusting intelligently.
If you’re lifting through low back pain, knee pain, or “nagging” issues that won’t go away — you don’t need to stop training.
You need a smarter plan.
