Signs of Radial Tunnel Syndrome
The radial nerve – one of the 3 main ones in your arms – runs directly through the radial tunnel. When that nerve becomes inflamed or damaged, it can result in radial tunnel syndrome.
Radial tunnel syndrome is common among construction and factory workers, as well as those who repeatedly lift heavy objects. Regularly twisting, pulling, or pushing the arm can cause this condition as well.
Some of the signs of radial tunnel syndrome include:
1. Difficulty fully extending your wrist
2. Loss of grip strength
3. Muscle weakness in the wrist
4. Dull, aching pain in your forearm or wrist
5. Piercing or stabbing pain when extending or flexing your fingers
