Today, Fenway Health proudly joins the American Public Health Association and organizations across the country in recognizing National Public Health Week 2026. Each April, APHA brings communities together to celebrate the power of public health—a time to honor the dedication of public health professionals and to reflect on the issues that shape the health and well-being of our communities and our nation.

On May 31, 2026, at Boston Common, join Fenway Health for a day of community, movement, and purpose as we come together to stride for public health. This special event will bring supporters, advocates, and community members side by side to raise awareness, celebrate progress, and recommit to building a healthier, more equitable future for all.

Whether you walk, run, or cheer from the sidelines, your presence helps drive meaningful change and strengthen the future of public health for everyone.

Fenway Health showed up to advocate for the protection of accessible, affirming care — and we’re encouraged to see Massachusetts respond with action.

The proposed $3.5 million for the Affirming Health Care Trust Fund reflects what’s possible when providers, advocates, and lawmakers work together to meet this moment.

We’re proud of the role our team played in advancing this work, including our EVP of Donor Engagement & External Relations, .

Trans Day of Visibility is a time to learn, reflect, and show up with intention.

Understanding the difference between gender identity and gender expression is one step. Listening, respecting, and advocating is what comes next.

Being an ally doesn’t require perfection — it requires action:
✔ Use people’s correct names and pronouns
✔ Challenge misinformation when you hear it
✔ Support access to affirming care and inclusive spaces

And most importantly — believe trans people when they tell you who they are.

At Fenway Health, we’re committed to building a future where everyone is seen, respected, and cared for. https://fenwayhealth.org/transgender-day-of-visibility-2026-care-community-and-the-courage-to-keep-showing-up/

Trans stories have always existed — across genres, generations, and communities. 📚

Ahead of Trans Day of Visibility, we’re highlighting books that celebrate identity, imagination, and the long history of trans and gender-diverse people. From magical coming-of-age stories to comics anthologies and accessible history, each of these books offers a different way to understand belonging and visibility.

Because representation matters — and stories help us see ourselves, and each other, more clearly.
