✨ Celebrating 10 Years of Ruth Kelley Ummi’s House ✨
For a decade, Ruth Kelley Ummi’s House (RKUH) has been a place of hope, healing, and second chances for women in recovery and their children. Named in honor of Dimock’s former Chief Behavioral Health Officer, Ruth Kelley, the program offers safe housing, essential resources, and the tools families need to thrive.
Director Pam Andrade, herself a graduate of Dimock’s recovery programs, leads with compassion and strength: “I wanted to help women and families in recovery, just like me.”
The impact shines through in stories like Helena’s, a current resident whose journey embodies the heart of RKUH. She’s rebuilding her life with strength and determination: pursuing education, reconnecting with vital supports, and shaping a brighter future for herself and her son, Bentley.
And Bentley is thriving too—curious, talkative, spontaneous, and growing into his joyful, vibrant personality surrounded by a community that cheers him on. As Helena puts it, “It’s such a supportive program. It’s been an important part of my journey and a great bonding place for me and my child. You still have your own space, but you can really connect. Overall, it’s just a really positive experience.”
Partner support has been essential in making this possible. Thanks to organizations like the Franklin Square House Foundation, whose generosity helped fund a new roof and skylights, RKUH continues to provide a safe, welcoming environment for families to heal and grow.
Here’s to 10 years of breaking barriers, nurturing families, and building brighter futures.💜
