Every year around Christmas, I love to gift homemade bread to my amazing clients—it’s my little tradition and a way to say thank you for supporting me and my businesses.

I know I’m not very active on here… truth is, I’m not much of a poster and I’m always busy behind the scenes. Between bold beauty esthetics and running Feather Headz. This year has been especially packed as we are getting ready to launch a whole new product line, and it’s been nonstop but in the best way possible.

After care is key for good lash health and retention!
Fallow these steps below and never need a break from lash extensions.

•Wash your lashes daily. Don’t listen to the myth of not getting your lashes wet. Really important to clean oils from our lash lid to avoid changing the structure of the glue. Cleaning can rid makeup and debris from your lashes especially now during allergy seasons.

•No picking or pulling. Oils And debris from our hands can get into our lashes and cause poor retention or infection. Pulling can pluck lashes that were not ready to shed. Over plucking can damage the hair bulb not allowing the natural lash to grow back.

•Use oil free products. Oils in products can also change the structure of the glue. Oil free makeup and face washes can help keep your lashes clean and better your retention.

• Sleep on your back. This is tough for me. As a side sleeper use silk pillow cases instead of cotton or linen.

• Brush them. Brushing instead of picking or pulling will help with itchy eyes. If you’ve ever had a lash turn?… 🤚🏻 Me…. It will help fan them back out after getting them wet and place them back where they need to be.

• lash fills every 2-3 weeks. Getting regular fills is so important. Imagine holding a weight in your hands for a long period of time eventually your hands and arms will get tired. When your lashes grow out that lash is holding that weight. Causing breakage and premature plucking of the natural lash.

Thank you to all my amazing clients for your support and flexibility during this tough time. I felt I owe everyone an explanation of why Ive been rescheduling everyone. (Which is very rare for me.)
I’ve been very private about what’s been going on because it’s mentally exhausting and personal. I want you all to have a relaxing time at your appointment. But I also realize that most of you fallowing me are women and will understand.
So here goes… I miscarried back in February and never went to a doctor for a fallow up. Since then, my periods have been very irregular or non existent. On Tuesday I started severe cramping, by that evening I was in full premature labor having contractions every 7 minutes. Ahmed took me to the emergency room and we were having our second miscarriage. This one was at 4 1/2 months, which was scary because we had no idea I was pregnant.
After hours in the emergency room i was sent home for a fallow up with a specialist. He found 2 sacs that my body was still holding. Telling us we were supposed to have twins and lost both. He gave me some medicine to try to pass them without a D&C. This caused more contractions and cramping but My body did not pass it until tonight during work. I have my second D& C scheduled for Tuesday if I do not pass the second. Today I have searched multiple labs that will take blood work. Unfortunately because of my skins graphs and bad circulation I’ve had difficulty with that also. After 5 labs, finally finding one that would do it in the only location we’ve found that will give blood the top of my foot… 😭 the only good vein I had ended up collapsing while trying to get the labs… Tomorrow I’ll need to go back to a hospital for a vein ultrasound to hopefully find another vein that will give blood to get more answers.
Needless to say it’s been a whirlwind of emotion, exhaustion, trauma and hormones.
My heart goes out to any women who have endured this pain and heartache. I’m trying to be in good spirits and believe that even tho I don’t know the reason all this is happening there will be a lesson and reason in the future that I will understand.
So a big thank you again for the support, patience and love throughout this tough time and loss. I appreciate you all so very much and am ready to get back to work and see all your beautiful faces!
