We are proud to congratulate Dr. Sobh on reaching another major milestone in his rising career. This week, he successfully completed his 1,000th robotic joint replacement surgery.

The integration of robotic technology into joint replacement has allowed our team to achieve exceptional precision—down to the half-millimeter—bringing a new level of accuracy and consistency to every procedure. By minimizing the variability associated with traditional knee replacement techniques, robotic assistance has helped our patients experience faster recoveries, less postoperative pain, and improved overall outcomes.

We are deeply grateful to our patients for the trust they place in us to guide their care. We look forward to continuing this journey together and building on this momentum in the years ahead.

Increased rates of cementless TKA yielded negligible increases in early revision.

As cementless fixation in total knee arthroplasty has increased in the U.S. since 2012, results presented here showed a small but significant increase in 1-year revision risk with this method in patients aged 65 years or older.

Hip Replacement Dislocation.

Normal hip joints have many surrounding structures that help to stabilize the hip joint. These structures include muscles, ligaments, and the normal bony structure of the hip joint. Together, these structures keep the ball (the femoral head) within the socket (the acetabulum).

New technology, cost strategies continue to move robotic-assisted surgery forward.

The combination of robotics and patient-specific instrumentation may create a parallel strategy for care. Vendor programs and care pathways may curb the cost of robotic-assisted surgery.

Today is a reminder that we stand on the shoulders of giants—leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose vision and sacrifice reshaped what is possible for so many. In medicine, and particularly in orthopedic surgery, our work is rooted in restoring mobility, dignity, and independence. Each step a patient takes after joint replacement reflects the broader ideal Dr. King fought for: the right to live fully, move freely, and pursue a life without unnecessary barriers. Honoring his legacy means striving every day to serve with compassion, equity, and purpose. Happy MLK day to all of our patients, friends, and family!

We’re kicking off the new year with a bang 💥

Dr. Ali Sobh is honored to be featured in this month’s Hour Detroit Magazine as part of the “Faces of Detroit” edition, where he was invited to share the story of his practice and his commitment to excellence in orthopedic care.

We are deeply humbled by this recognition. Our journey has been shaped by years of discipline, dedication, and an unwavering focus on our patients—whose successful outcomes remain the true measure of our work and the fruits of our labor.

Dr. Sobh would like to dedicate this honor to his late father, whose guidance, wisdom, and encouragement laid the foundation for everything that followed. This month marks the third anniversary of his passing. May he rest in peace.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM ALL OF US AT SOBH ORTHO! As the year comes to a close, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the patients who placed their trust in us, and allowed us to be part of their journey toward restored mobility and relief from pain. Each hip and knee replacement this year was not just a procedure, but a partnership—one that continually challenged us to listen more closely, refine our craft, and grow both technically and personally as a surgeon. We are deeply thankful to our patients, colleagues, and care teams who made this work so meaningful. Looking ahead to the coming year, we are energized by new advancements, renewed purpose, and the opportunity to help even more people return to the activities and lives they love.
