April is Stress Awareness Month, and we want to start with something important: stress is real, it's widespread and you're not alone in feeling it.
Nearly half of U.S. adults reported feeling "a lot" of stress on any given day. And when stress becomes chronic, the ripple effects go far beyond a rough week — including increased risks for heart disease, hypertension, digestive issues and a weakened immune response. Stress can also disrupt sleep quality, creating a cycle that's hard to break.
Research also shows that chronic stress is one of the strongest predictors of depression and anxiety — meaning the longer stress goes unaddressed, the more it can shape our mental health landscape.
If you've been feeling overwhelmed, irritable, or just not like yourself — that's worth paying attention to. 💙 Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
