We are happy to announce getting approval to administer all 3 preparations of the Covid-19 vaccines that are currently FDA-approved.

We anticipate receiving regular shipments of Covid-19 vaccines weekly.

Today, we received a shipment of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine, which is approved for all individuals 12 years and above. It is a two dose vaccine series with the second dose recommended 21 days after the first dose.

Please email our office at aapcenter@gmail.com to be added to our Vaccine Wait List and to get scheduled for the injection. We have a limited number of doses for this week.

We will post updates on Facebook as often as possible regarding vaccine availability. You can find additional information about the vaccine, including a pre-vaccination checklist, on our website at

Unfortunately, a construction crew was working on 13 Mile Road and accidentally took out our power and phone lines. Our office will be closed for the remainder of the day as DTE works on repairing the lines (Monday August 17, 2020).
We again apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our patients. We will be rescheduling all affected patients as soon as we are open again.

Our new and updated website will also be up by tomorrow morning as well.

Thank you for your understanding.

07/09/2020

Due to the thunderstorms on Tuesday evening (07/07/2020), the power has been out in parts of Royal Oak and Clawson.

As a result of the damaged trees in the area, the power and phone lines are down. The power was supposed to be restored last night but is still out as of this morning.

DTE's website is now estimating power restoration by 11:30 pm Thursday night (07/09/2020).

We will be able to continue to provide Telehealth visits for the patients scheduled today (video visits) but will have to reschedule all of our injections to sometime next week.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. The phone lines are also not working. We will reschedule all affected injection patients as soon as possible.

If there are urgent needs (refills, etc), please contact the office staff through the patient portal.

Coronavirus Update Wednesday, March 25, 2020

In view of the ongoing situation with increasing numbers of patients infected with Covid-19 (Coronavirus) locally, we have decided to continue to provide patient care visits only as virtual visits either by telephone or video conferencing.

When considering whether or not the risk versus benefit is there for most individuals receiving allergy injections as well as biological medications, we decided to allow patients to make that decision and schedule an appointment for continuation of any injections. We will not be allowing patients to receive injections if they have any clinical symptoms or have been exposed individuals with any symptoms of Covid-19. This is for your safety as well as the safety of our staff and other patients.

Patients that fall behind on allergy injections due to this situation will have ample opportunity to catch back up to the regular maintenance dose as things return to normal. Again, from a risk-benefit perspective, it would be important to determine whether or not it is safe and wise to risk exposure versus staying healthy at home (without risk of exposure) and resume injections when all restrictions have been lifted at the state and national level.

Our office hours will be Monday through Thursday from 12:00 to 5:00 pm through Monday, April 13, 2020.

Again, all injections will need to be scheduled to allow social distancing as well as reviewing the need for continuing injections as outlined above. During these office hours, we will be available by telephone and will be scheduling virtual visits with patients so that the appointments are not delayed.

We will continue to update our office website homepage and Facebook with details as things continue to evolve within the community.

Please remain safe with your families during this difficult time. We truly appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Office Update: Sunday March 22, 2019

The coronavirus pandemic is a rapidly evolving situation. In close coordination with the state and local public health experts, we are closely monitoring developments and will continue to follow their rules and recommendations in the best interest of our patients and employees safety and well-being.

The Governor has released an Executive Order which will be going into effect on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 5:00 pm to limit all non-essential services in outpatient medical practices. In compliance with the Executive Order, we will begin to transition many existing appointments to TeleMedicine or VideoMedicine (E-Visits) in keeping the health and safety of our patients our top most priority.

Several visits may need to be postponed in view of the current pandemic and situation we are all facing. We truly apologize for this inconvenience and will prioritize scheduling of all patients as rapidly as possible when the restrictions from the state are lifted.

In reviewing the wording of the Executive Order by the Governor, all non-essential treatments will not be able to continue. This may pose an inconvenience to our patients on allergy shots for environmental allergens, bee venom as well as biological injections for asthma and hives. We will try and accommodate patients and their shots with a modified schedule for obtaining injections at our office. Please check our website and FaceBook page for up-to-date hours for injections. We ask patients to wait in their vehicles after their injections for the recommended wait times rather than in the office for safety reasons. PatientÅ› will need to be screened prior to their injection and limited to one patient in the waiting room and one patient in the hallway. Other patients may need to remain in their vehicles to keep appropriate social distancing.

Any patientÅ› with known exposure to anyone with Covid-19 or suspected Covid-19 will need to self quarantine and refrain from continuation of injections for 14 days. Individuals with or in close contact with anyone experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, chest pain or congestion will need to refrain from continuation of shots for at least 14 days.

All affected patientÅ› will be able to catch up on their shots when it is safe to do so. We will also prioritize patient appointments as soon as we are able to, when the restrictions are lifted by our Governor.

This is truly an unprecedented time and it is vital to keep everyone's health and safety in mind.

In view of this, we will make the following adjustments as outlined above:

Telemedicine (VideoVisits) and start E-Visits with a secure HIPPA compliant software during the weekdays
- This will be for well visits and applicable visits that can be completed by video visits and possibly for new visits

We will need to postpone food challenges and routine visits for now
- We will prioritize and reschedule patients scheduled as soon as the mandated restrictions have been lifted by state officials

Allergy and Biological Injections will be available at an adjusted schedule with more limited hours if patients meet criteria outlined above and are asymptomatic and not in contact with any individuals with suspected illness(es)
If patients elect to postpone shots until restrictions are lifted, we will be able to catch patients up in the future
- Depending on the situation with Covid-19, further restrictions may lead to complete closure of the office dependent on further state recommendations and availability of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, etc.

We will be available with adjusted hours for Telephone and Video Visits to continue to provide care and assist in refills and questions for our patients during this time

Again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation has caused to everyone. We are trying our best to keep our patients, their families and our staff healthy and safe. As the situation improves, we will return to a normal schedule and will likely increase our office times and availability to make up for the appointments that had to be rescheduled.

Please be safe and remain healthy and well during this difficult time.
