Choosing the right retina specialist can be life-changing — especially when it comes to advanced procedures and long-term health outcomes. That’s why Newsweek, in partnership with global data firm Statista, created the “America’s Leading Doctors 2025” list, recognizing the top-performing specialists across critical fields.

We're proud to share that our own Dr. Sandeep Randhawa, MD, Dr. Alan J. Ruby, MD, and Dr. George A. Williams, MD have earned a spot among this elite group, recognized for their visionary care, exceptional skill, patient outcomes and peer respect.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Associated Retinal Consultants is committed to keeping our patients and the public healthy during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Based on guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, in addition to the executive order by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, we are instituting the following measures.

Is Associated Retinal Consultants going to remain open thru the COVID-19 pandemic?

We will continue to provide vision-saving treatment for our patients. However, we will need to modify how patients move through our offices and change our schedule to minimize the risk of infection for our patients and staff.

Should I keep my appointment?

We will be calling you before your appointment, as well as screening at check-in, to ask if you have any risk factors that might put others at risk including fever, cough or shortness of breath. If you have these symptoms, please reschedule your appointment and call your primary care physician or seek other medical attention. If you have no symptoms but do have a travel history or contact with someone who has either a fever or cough, or tested positive for the Coronavirus, we need you to reschedule to postpone your appointment for at least 14 days.

How will my office visit be different?

Depending on the volume of patients in the office at any one time, we may ask you to wait outside or in your car until we are ready to call you back.

Access to the office will be limited to patients only unless patient requires special assistance (i.e. wheelchair, walker) or companion has legal authority as pertaining to patient care. Legal guardians will be allowed to accompany all minors.

ARC will continue to adhere to the CDC recommendations for healthcare facilities in order to minimize risk to our staff and patients during your visit.

We are here to help!

If you have any questions regarding your appointment or care, please call us at the appropriate office number(s) listed on our website at www.arcpc.org. Please be patient since we will be responding to many calls.

We understand how much you value your retina care and we are committed to continue to provide it. We know that many of our patients are at significant risk for losing vision if they don’t come in for their scheduled visits. Thank you for your understanding and keeping Associated Retinal Consultants a safe space for everyone.

2020 MEETING POSTPONED
After careful deliberation regarding the impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we have decided to postpone the Detroit 2020: Motor City Retina meeting.

It was not easy for us to arrive at this decision. However, as the safety of our attendees, speakers, families, friends, and ultimately patients is of the highest importance; we felt that taking this step was the only reasonable course of action at this time. At present, we intend to reschedule the meeting, but have not yet determined a date as we navigate the continued uncertainty of what lies ahead with the pandemic, our changing schedules, and the fairly full slate of other existing and rescheduled meetings.

We are truly hurt by the effect of this global crisis on all of our daily lives but look forward to hosting you in Detroit in the near future. Above all, we wish you and your loved ones safety and good health during these difficult times, and please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any concerns, issues, or suggestions for the future.
