Oakland County’s leading pediatric, prenatal & family specialist & go-to destination for KST & Talsky Tonal chiropractic care in a fun environment located in Royal Oak. Welcome to Van Every Family Chiropractic Center located in Royal Oak Michigan. Our purpose at Van Every Family Chiropractic Center located on Rochester Road in Royal Oak is to find and correct subluxations, provide chiropractic care appropriate for each individual, focusing on family, women, children, infant, baby, pregnant women, and elderly care and educate our community on how to live healthier lives so that they subluxate less. How we do this in our office is through a chiropractic technique called Koren Specific Technique, or KST. This revolutionary chiropractic technique is probably unlike any treatment you may have experienced in another office. It is very different than manual adjusting, because there is no cracking, popping or twisting. Most chiropractic adjustments, in fact, will be done with the patient standing up. We use a chiropractic tool called the Arthrostim to tap the bone into place, instead of using our hands to manually adjust. This tool allows us to easily and comfortably adjust any bone, including your cranial bones. An overwhelming amount of our patients have had amazing results with the KST technique, including many who have not responded to being manually adjusted or have come to our office because they have “tried everything else” without success. Schedule an appointment with us at Van Every Family Chiropractic Center located in Royal Oak Michigan to find out what our patients already know. We have had great success in helping the body heal from many issues.

Most people know that prolonged sitting is hard on the back, but the effect goes deeper than posture. Research has found that extended static positions reduce the pumping action that moves fluid through spinal discs, which is how those discs receive nutrients. Movement breaks are not just good for your muscles. They are genuinely necessary for disc health over the long term.

Most people think of posture as something you fix by sitting up straighter or pulling your shoulders back. But there’s a factor that shapes how you hold yourself all day long, and it’s one you’re repeating about 20,000 times a day without a second thought. It’s your breathing pattern.

Consistency matters more in chiropractic care. Each visit builds on the last, reinforcing new movement patterns and giving the nervous system time to adapt. Spacing visits too far apart can mean starting from a lower baseline each time, which is why a regular schedule tends to produce more lasting results.

Heading out for spring break and don’t want to come home feeling “wrecked”? ✈️
Dr. Saylor at Van Every Family Chiropractic Center shares 5 simple travel tips to keep you feeling good on the go.

Tip #1: “Bookend” your trip with adjustments. 💡
Get checked before you leave and again when you’re back, because different beds, pillows, and long travel positions can stress your NeuroSpinal System.

Tip #2: Warm up and stretch before you sit for hours.
A few light, easy stretches help your body get ready for plane seats and car rides.

Tip #3: Lift luggage carefully on planes.
Avoid twisting while reaching overhead, and keep bags manageable to protect your back and shoulders.

Tip #4: Set yourself up in a better position.
Use a small pillow if needed and tilt your seat back slightly so you’re not stuck in one rigid posture.

Tip #5: Hydrate and relax your grip. 💧🧠
Dehydration and stress can ramp up nervous system tension, so drink water, take a breath, and unclench your hands—especially on long drives (and take the wallet out of your back pocket).
