A MESSAGE FROM PROGRESSIVE CHIROPRACTIC
Hello everybody! Hope this message finds you healthy!
As you may know, the chiropractic profession has been deemed an essential provider by the State of Michigan. They want us handling all of the musculoskeletal conditions rather than people going to their primary care physicians or potentially clogging up Emergency Rooms at the hospitals with these conditions.
Dr. Orvis and I have decided to be open on Wednesday, April 1st from 3-7 pm to see patients at the office as we have received numerous requests to come in and treat people.
Of course, because of the current pandemic happening, there are rules we must adhere to in order to treat patients at this time. They are as follows:
1) You must be considered to have moderate to severe symptoms (aka a case that needs to be seen to avoid you having to go to a hospital or medical provider seeing how they are busy fighting the virus right now).
2) Anyone who is coming to get adjusted MUST schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are NOT accepted at this time. We have to stagger appointments to ensure there are only 1-2 patients in the office at a time which would be in compliance with the current social distancing rules (everyone has to be 6ft apart at all times).
All appointment times will be 15 minutes apart (ex. 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, etc.), so people have time to get in and out before the next patients arrive.
Appointments have to be made through our e-mail address progchiro716@gmail.com as we are all working remotely for the time being. Give us your preferred time and we will try to accommodate you as best as possible.
3) All cleaning procedures will be in place to ensure maximum disinfection including:
a) All patients must wash their hands when they first walk in the door in the patient bathroom.
b) The doctors will wash/sanitize their hands/equipment before and after each visit
c) The tables will be disinfected before and after each visit
d) All surfaces will be wiped down very frequently
4) Only adjustments and traction will be performed during your visit. There is no massage therapy allowed in our office at this time as enforced by the State Order.
5) Obviously, if you are coughing, sneezing, have been traveling over the past 14 days, or have any flu-like symptoms, DO NOT come in to the office.
We are doing our best to accommodate those in dire need of chiropractic care during this crazy time and to do our part to help you as individuals and help the medical profession to concentrate on what they have to do to get this thing under control.
If you require a letter to get to the office stating that you are visiting an essential provider, we will have them available for you. Hope to see you soon!
