🌎 International HPV Awareness Day

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is very common — nearly all men and women will be exposed at some point in their lives. While many HPV infections resolve on their own, some types can lead to certain cancers, including cervical, throat, a**l, and other cancers.

The good news? HPV-related cancers are largely preventable.

✔️ The HPV vaccine is safe and effective and recommended starting at ages 11–12 (and available through age 26, with some adults eligible up to age 45).
✔️ Routine cervical cancer screening helps detect changes early — when they are most treatable.
✔️ Talking openly with your healthcare provider is an important step in prevention.
