Extra Help is a federal program that helps pay for your Medicare drug coverage, such as plan premiums, deductibles, and costs when you fill your prescriptions, called copays or coinsurance. The Medicare Savings Programs on the other hand, is help from your state and may pay Medicare Part A/B premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments if you meet certain conditions.
