This Christmas season, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for every single person who makes up the Pope County EMS team. We recently celebrated at our annual Christmas party, but the spirit of appreciation lasts all year long!

Pope County EMS Employee Spotlight

This week, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Tyler Wiley, one of our dedicated part time EMTs and has recently completed our Field Training Program!

Tyler began his EMS journey at Arkansas Tech University, where he attended EMT school. He shared that he wanted to come ride with Pope County EMS because of the exceptional level of care he saw here not only in how our team treats patients, but also how they support students. After graduating his program, Tyler says our team continued to help him with studying and preparing for the NREMT, something he’s incredibly grateful for.

Outside of work, Tyler is a devoted husband and father to two girls. In his free time, you can find them cheering on the Razorbacks together or enjoying the outdoors camping as a family.

Tyler plans to take the next step in his EMS career by attending paramedic school in the near future, once he gains more hands-on experience as an EMT.

And don’t worry you aren’t seeing double! Tyler has an identical twin brother, Trey Wiley, who is a paramedic with our service. We’re proud to have both brothers serving our community.

Please join us in congratulating Tyler on completing the Field Training Program and thanking him for the compassion, dedication, and heart he brings to Pope County EMS!

Pope County EMS Deploys New LIFEPAK 35 Cardiac Monitors

Pope County EMS is pleased to announce the completion of training on our new LIFEPAK 35 cardiac monitors. We are introducing this advanced piece of equipment into the field, representing a major step forward in the care we provide to the citizens and visitors of Pope County.

The LIFEPAK 35 significantly enhances our ability to deliver high quality, time critical medical care. With improved cardiac monitoring capabilities including more precise ECG readings, faster data interpretation, and expanded diagnostic features our crews are better equipped to recognize and treat cardiac emergencies. These monitors allow us to provide the highest quality of care for our patients and community.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Pope County Judge Ben Cross, the Pope County Quorum Court and the Pope County Ambulance Board for their support. Their commitment to strengthen emergency medical services for our community is unwavering.

Pope County EMS remains committed to advancing prehospital care and investing in resources that make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. The LIFEPAK 35 is another important tool that helps us continue that mission.
