A huge THANK YOU to our incredible Treatment Specialist team and Kitchen Staff who went above and beyond to make sure our clients were cared for, no matter the weather or obstacles. Some of our staff stayed overnight on campus to ensure shifts were covered.

This level of dedication, compassion, and selflessness is what makes our team truly special. You show up for our clients in ways that matter most — especially when it’s hard.

Today in group, our LPRW clients honored Martin Luther King Jr. through art therapy by creating dream catchers.

This activity was inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech—reflecting on hope, resilience, and the belief that change is possible. As each client wove their dream catcher, they talked about the dreams they’re holding onto in recovery and the goals they’re working toward for their future.

Just like Dr. King’s vision, recovery starts with believing in something better—and taking intentional steps toward it, one day at a time. 🤍

In today’s afternoon group session, Kristen Ulsperger, M.A., Family & Consumer Sciences Agent with the Pope County Extension Office, led an engaging Budgeting 101 workshop—and our clients loved it!

Participants:
•Created their own personal budgets
•Learned simple ways to track spending
•Picked up smart spending tips
•Explored how to stretch their dollar at the grocery store
•Practiced meal planning strategies
•Learned practical ways to save

Our Women’s Group did some art therapy this week, choosing their word for 2026—a word that represents strength, healing, growth, or hope in their recovery. Each client created a bookmark showing what that word means to them and how they will carry it into the new year.

Recovery is more than abstinence; it’s learning how to reconnect with yourself, set intentions, and build a future with meaning. Art therapy gives our clients a safe and creative way to do just that.

Today, our women’s residential clients were busy in the kitchen baking all the Christmas goodies! From mixing and measuring to laughter and holiday music, our residential ladies filled the space with warmth, joy, and the sweet smells of the season.

We’re so proud of the joy, teamwork, and holiday spirit our ladies brought to the kitchen today!

Today, our LPRW clients participated in our annual on-campus Christmas shopping day — a tradition that means so much to our families. Each year, we transform our event room into a holiday “shop,” filled with toys and gifts made possible through generous donations collected throughout the year.

Every client had the opportunity to select special gifts for their children, wrap them with care, and place them under the tree for Christmas morning. For clients whose children are not on campus, their wrapped gifts were carefully shipped directly to their home.

Moments like these remind us that recovery is about healing families, restoring hope, and creating memories that last far beyond the holidays. ❤️🎁
