Michael "HAMMER" Brower was a loving father and grandfather who touched the lives of everyone around him. After suffering a stroke in 2014, he spent the last eleven years living with his daughter Jennifer, her husband Will, and their children. Michael “Mike” Ray Bugge
January 17, 1957 - December 24, 2025

Michael “Mike” Ray Bugge, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at his residence in Littleville.

How do you even start to describe Mike? He stepped up and was the man he didn’t have to be when he married Nita. He was a carpenter, a jack of all trades, and one of the hardest working men you would ever meet. He never met a stranger, always the life of the party, a true animal lover, and had the most unique and contagious laugh that you would remember forever. He was a Christian and a member of North Highland Baptist Church. Mike had the heart of a servant, always willing to help whoever he could and not just family members. He loved his Harley and enjoyed many rides with his love of his life, Nita. He went from a biker to a baker, becoming a real Betty Crocker, making the absolute best cakes and cookies ever. Mike lived life to the fullest, he loved hard, and our lives are forever better for knowing and loving Mike.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Jean Fay (Batchelor) Bugge; brothers, David Bugge, Sr and Jeff Bugge; brother-in-law, Chuck Huebner.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 39 years, Belva J. “Nita” Hacker Bugge; children, Max Livingston, Tanya Hughes; grandchildren, Ciara, Kayla, Alexa, Haley, Joshua, Malakai, Grace; great-grandchildren, Leo and Ronan; sister, Sue Huebner; a host of nieces & nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Clay Richardson officiating the service. The burial will be at Dempsey Cemetery.
