Okay, the summer has been busy at Rock Island PT. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be catching up on a few of the happenings. First on the list….

Farewell Madison Hetzler! Thank you for being such a blessing to us and those we have served over the last year and a half. We wish you and Jackson all the best and can’t blame you for following him to Georgia. Thank you for the kind words about your time with us. Farewell until the Ruston vacuum cleaner sucks you back!

Remembering our veterans and their families this Memorial Day. Thank you for your sacrifices.

Last year I read two great books on WWII.

“The Rifle” by Andrew Biggio and “All
The Galiant Men” by Donald Stratton.

I highly recommend them both. A repeated theme that blew me away was how many veterans jumped back into life after experiencing so much and found healing in serving their families and communities.

Thank you for teaching us how important it is to find purpose in serving others.

Back in the Saddle
It’s a phrase used figuratively to describe getting back to something you haven’t been doing.

In this case it’s literal.

For the first time back in the saddle after a big crash last June. There was a little fear to overcome rolling off the Hub on the yellow jacket trail.

It makes sense. Injuries hurt and are costly. No matter what the injury is there is always a little fear mixed in with the active steps toward recover.

Some of you are fearless. In the clinic I see you each week face your fears and persevere in hope.

You inspire me and remind me that hope is more powerful than fear.

In fact, hope is the most powerful ingredient in recovery.

To our patients. Thank you for daily reminding me!

So thankful to serve others alongside this dynamicmic duo over the last few years.

Congrats to Brogan and Katie on graduating LA Tech and heading on to PT school.

Acts 17:26 reminds me our coming and going is not random. It’s humbling to see how God has provided others to serve alongside in the mission of helping others Hurt Less, Move Better and Live More.

Join me in congratulating Shaye Johnson on her last week at Rock Island PT. We are so excited to announce that she has been accepted to PT School in Monroe and will be starting this fall. This is a huge accomplishment and a testament to her dedication and hard work.

Shaye has been an a super star at Rock Island Physical Therapy and has a bright future. We could not be prouder to see her pursue her passion and take this next big step!

We have officially declared July 26th as "Shaye Day" at Rock Island PT. Join us in celebrating her last day and remember to wish her all the best!
