At Autism, Advocacy, and Intervention (AAI), we don’t just work—we build, and lead. Today, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible people who make AAI what it is: a company with purpose, heart, and one of the most dedicated teams I’ve ever known.

Over the past decade, we’ve grown not only in size, but in spirit. Together, we’ve created a workplace culture that’s rooted in respect, compassion, and drive—and it’s thrived.

✅ Our team culture has remained strong and supportive across years, states, and service models.

✅ Our staff acquisition and retention rates are among the highest in our industry.

✅ So many of our team members have grown professionally, taking on new roles, certifications, and leadership opportunities.

✅ And most importantly, we’ve supported thousands of families across multiple states—making real, positive, human impact every single day.

Recent reports have circulated claiming that David Geier, recently appointed by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead a federal autism initiative, lost his medical license.
⚠️This is inaccurate: David Geier never held a medical license.

Instead, he worked alongside his father, Dr. Mark Geier, whose own medical license was revoked in multiple states due to unethical and dangerous practices involving autistic children.

David Geier, who holds only a bachelor’s degree in biology, was disciplined by the Maryland State Board of Physicians in 2012 for practicing medicine without a license. He was fined for diagnosing and treating autistic children, ordering medical tests, and administering treatments, all without medical credentials. The Geiers promoted a discredited theory that autism was caused by mercury in vaccines and claimed that reducing testosterone with the drug Lupron-a medication approved for prostate cancer, endometriosis, and precocious puberty-could treat autism. Their protocol involved diagnosing children with “precocious puberty” without proper evaluation in order to justify prescribing Lupron, which is also used for chemical castration.

Multiple investigations found that the Geiers misdiagnosed children and administered Lupron off-label, exposing them to significant risks without evidence of benefit. The Maryland Board of Physicians explicitly stated that their treatments “endangered autistic children and exploited their parents by administering a treatment protocol that has a known substantial risk of serious harm and which is neither consistent with evidence-based medicine nor generally accepted in the relevant scientific community”. Mark Geier’s medical license was revoked in every state where he was licensed, and David Geier was fined for the unlicensed practice of medicine.

The scientific community has repeatedly rejected the Geiers’ research. The Institute of Medicine described their studies as “characterized by serious methodological flaws and their analytic methods were nontransparent making their results uninterpretable, and therefore non-contributory with respect to causality”. Federal judges have also dismissed their testimony and research as unreliable and outside their expertise.

* The Maryland Board of Physicians found that Geier was practicing medicine without a license and charged him accordingly in 2011. He and his father:

* Administered Lupron (a drug used for chemical castration in s*x offenders, prostate cancer, and legitimate cases of precocious puberty) to autistic children

* Diagnosed an unusually high number of autistic children with "precocious puberty" without following standard diagnostic protocols, apparently to justify the Lupron treatments

* Subjected children to chelation therapy based on the debunked theory that autism is caused by "mercury poisoning" from vaccines

* Charged families $5,000-$6,000 monthly (in 2009) for these "treatments" ⚠️⚠️⚠️

In summary, David Geier-a man without a medical license, who was fined for practicing medicine illegally and for administering harmful, unproven treatments to autistic children-has now been appointed to lead a government study on autism. This appointment has drawn widespread criticism from scientists, autism advocates, and public health officials, who argue it undermines scientific integrity and public trust
