🖤 Black Balloon Event – March 7th 🖤

Everest Recovery is honored to participate in this year’s Black Balloon Event in Maine.

On March 7th, we stand together to remember the lives lost to overdose and to support the families and individuals impacted by substance use disorder. The black balloon represents love, loss, and the commitment to keep fighting for recovery and prevention.

This day is about:
🖤 Honoring those we’ve lost
🖤 Raising awareness about overdose prevention
🖤 Standing in hope for those still struggling
🖤 Showing that recovery is possible

We are proud to support Access Direct Recovery, community sponsors and the work being done across Maine to create change, save lives, and strengthen our recovery community.

Join us. Stand with us. Remember with us.

We would like to give kudos to our Manchester, ME Program Director, Doug Kilgore and his team. In 2025 they set out to gather clothing donations and essential items from the local community. In January of 2026, they opened "Ainsley's Closet" in memory of Doug's late daughter, Ainsley Kilgore, who sadly passed away in 2024 after a long battle with alcohol addiction. Ainsley's Closet is designed as a retail shop that provides no cost clothing and supplies to the local recovery community. During the past year they have had a soft opening for Ainsley’s Closet, served 643 people in recovery and given away 1051 pieces of clothing. For more info, they've set up a website: https://www.ainsleyscloset.com/
