During the federal shutdown our S**o, ME team launched a staff food drive to help with food insecurity for families in the their area. They wanted to ensure that no one in the community goes hungry. Thank you to our caring local staff for stepping up in a big way!

Last week, members of Everest Recovery's leadership team convened in Portsmouth, NH for our second annual "Leadership University". The team did a great job presenting, sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving. We're so thankful to have such an engaged team!

Everest Recovery's Manchester, ME location is proud to partner with Maine Family Planning's Health on Wheels project. Once/month they'll set up shop at Everest to provide services that include: wound care, HIV prevention, birth control options, reproductive & sexual health services & more. "Embracing healing through creativity at our S**o Clinic! One of our substance use disorder support groups now incorporates art and music therapy, offering a holistic path to recovery. Through this group, counseling staff assists clients with self expression, finding connections and fostering healing together!"

Staff from our Manchester, ME location attended the 3rd Annual Community Collaborative Support & Education Event last week at Head of Falls in Waterville, ME. The event brought together community members and local organizations to share resources on housing, health, community engagement, and other essential needs.

On Sunday 9/14, Everest Recovery was represented at the "Rally for Recovery" in Portland, Maine. The event was organized by the Portland Recovery Community Center Recovery Community Center to celebrate recovery from substance use disorder, raise awareness, and provide resources for people in recovery and their families. The event featured a resource fair with over 40 tables from community providers, activities for children, food trucks, and a community concert. It's a celebration of progress and a vital source of support and information for those on the journey of recovery.

Everest Recovery was proud to be represented at the Recovery Revival of York County, a nonprofit initiative focused on establishing a recovery center to benefit the Biddeford Community Recovery Center. The event was held at Mechanics Park on Saturday, September 13, 2025 and was a great success.
