A higher BMI doesn’t automatically rule you out for surgery and it’s important for patients to hear that. What truly matters is the full picture of your health.

FAQ: Can a Breast Augmentation Fix Sagging? 🤔

This is one of the most common questions we receive and the short answer is not necessarily. If you have a higher grade of breast ptosis (sagging), simply adding an implant won’t correct the excess skin, it will still hang off the implant. In these cases, we often recommend a breast lift (mastopexy) either with or without an augmentation to restore a more youthful, lifted shape.

However, some patients are in that borderline category, meaning there’s only slight sagging with very minimal excess skin. In these cases, a carefully chosen implant can sometimes create the illusion of a subtle lift by adding volume and support.

A Fresh Transformation Nearly 20 Years Later 🤩

This patient first had a Mommy Makeover in 2006, and after almost two decades she was ready for an update to better compliment her body today. Secondary surgeries like this are not uncommon, as bodies continue to change over time with age, weight fluctuations, and lifestyle.

Her surgical plan included an extended tummy tuck with liposuction to tighten her midsection and refine her contour, along with a mastopexy (breast lift) and augmentation. We replaced her previous 360cc implants with 300cc saline-filled implants, creating a natural, balanced shape.

A tummy tuck recovery is a journey that happens in stages. In the first week, it’s normal to experience swelling and bruising as your body begins to heal. By weeks 4–6, swelling improves and your new abdominal contour starts to take shape, though some tightness and incision healing are still part of the process. Your final transformation happens between 6–12 months, when swelling has fully resolved, scars begin to fade, and final results are revealed.
