We are an employment training program dedicated to helping adults with developmental disabilities obtain employment.

Our founders Wyatt and Braydon are passionate about the people they serve and passionate about employment! They believe whole heartedly that it is one of the greatest paths to a life of purpose, self determination, and connection for those with developmental disabilities. Combined they have almost 10 years of experience managing programs for adults with developmental disabilities. They have spent the last 3 years together managing together in Solano County, developing an employment training program with NBRC that has had incredible success (80% of participants employed). They are looking to transfer that same success over to ACRC.

The Blue Heron Program’s Sacramento Gaggle soaking up the sunshine with a fun-filled barbecue day! 🌞🍔 From creative crafts to friendly sports games, it was all about laughter, connection, and great food. Nothing beats good vibes and even better company!

🐰 Leaps & Bounds 🐇

Participants from the Roseville Gaggle have been excelling at their volunteer site at Leaps & Bounds. They consistently bring positive energy to the bunny room and complete all assigned tasks with care and enthusiasm.

BEEP. HONK. VROOM. 🚗💨
Fun Friday took the Roseville Gaggle to the California Automobile Museum, where participants explored a stunning collection of more than 150 classic, race, and muscle cars. The visit offered a vivid look at how automobiles have transformed over nearly 120 years.

🌿 Wednesday Club Day Adventures!
Today our club headed outdoors for a nature walk & scavenger hunt! 📸 We explored, worked together, and captured the beauty around us—finding everything from textures in bark and reflections in water to birds, peaceful moments, and patterns in nature.
It was a great way to slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy time together. ☀️

🦙 BHP @ the Alpaca Expo! 🦙
Blue Heron Programs had a great time at the Alpaca Expo in Sacramento! Participants enjoyed meeting the alpacas, learning about them, and spending time together out in the community.
Fun experiences like this help create meaningful moments and new memories for everyone involved.

A windy Friday calls for kite making! 🪁 Our Blue Heron participants got creative with DIY kites and took them to the park to see them fly. Nothing better than arts, crafts, and fresh air!

📚✨ This year, several of our Blue Heron managers and leads had the opportunity to attend the CalABA Conference in Sacramento!

The 2026 conference theme, “Elevate + Evolve,” brought together professionals from across the field for workshops and sessions focused on innovation, collaboration, and advancing high-quality ABA services. Attendees explored topics like improving clinical outcomes, strengthening ethical and evidence-based practice, and integrating new tools and strategies into behavioral services.

We’re so proud of our team for continuing to invest in professional development and bringing new knowledge, ideas, and inspiration back to the communities and families we serve. 💙

This week we’re proud to highlight Jeremiah and Courtney, who have been crushing it at their jobs at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store off Watt Avenue! 🙌

🩵 Jeremiah prices items and puts together sets — including socks, utensils, hats, ties, belts, and power cords.
🩵 Courtney keeps the media section stocked by pricing books and DVDs.
Their hard work behind the scenes helps keep the store organized, stocked, and ready for customers every day. We are so proud of their dedication and teamwork — amazing work, everyone!
