University of the Pacific - Physician Assistant Program University of the Pacific - Physician Assistant Program The program is launched in January 2017 at Pacific’s campus in Sacramento.

University of the Pacific's Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) full-time, 27-month, degree program is designed for professionals currently working in other areas of health care, individuals interested in a second career opportunity, and pre-health students interested in entering the fast-growing physician assistant (PA) field. Pacific’s PA program provides numerous opportunities for interprofessional education through involvement with Pacific’s highly regarded health-related schools, the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy, and the School of Health Sciences through student clinical training experiences at community hospitals and clinics. The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the University of the Pacific Physician Assistant Program sponsored by the University of the Pacific. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards. Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2031. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy. We love our SHS family! 🧡🐯

Today is our 5th anniversary! 🎉 🙌 On July 1, 2020, Pacific's Athletic Training, Audiology, Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology Departments came together to form the School of Health Sciences. Since then, SHS has launched five additional departments, including Nursing, Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, and Health Science, bringing the total number of departments to ten.

SHS would not be here without the Board of Regents and Provost Pallavicini’s vision for creating SHS, the clear focus and support of Pacific President Christopher Callahan and Provost Edwalds-Gilbert, the leadership of Dean Bugnariu, and our amazing faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of our journey, and we look forward to the next 5 years together! 🧡 🐯
