THE SACRAMENTO CENTER is composed of members and friends of Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF), a worldwide nonprofit religious organization founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920. The aim of Self Realization Fellowship is direct communion with God in meditation through the practice of Kriya Yoga, an ancient and sacred scientific technique of meditation. Recently, SRF monks visited the Sacramento Center and led a lively discussion and a two-hour workshop on “How to Welcome Newcomers and Support Our Congregation.” The session included a PowerPoint slideshow, and Center members were invited to share feedback on a number of questions throughout the presentation.
We were blessed to welcome SRF monks Brother Bhimananda and Brother Ritananda to Sacramento this weekend as part of their wider tour. They led inspiring classes, as well as our Sunday meditation and inspirational service, offering deep spiritual encouragement to all who attended.
Afterward, we gathered for our Thanksgiving potluck, where a wonderful group of devotees enjoyed delicious food, warm fellowship, and festive holiday treats. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped make the day so special! 🙏🍂🕊️

For further information we suggest that you visit our Center on North Avenue where you can find free literature as well as a collection of books, CDs, DVDs, and devotional items available for sale at our bookstore or loan through our lending library. If you are new to SRF, we suggest reading Paramahansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi, a spiritual classic which is available at our Center bookstore and at the SRF Bookstore.
