FIBROMYALGIA CLINCIAL TRIAL SEEKING VOLUNTEERS!
It's been a dry spell since new treatments, check it out!
Here at Northern California Research, we are seeking volunteers with Fibromyalgia to evaluate the maintenance of efficacy of a new investigational treatment compared with placebo in the management of fibromyalgia as measured by pain and overall fibromyalgia symptoms
Some qualifications will be required, others may apply:
No Complex regional pain syndrome, failed back surgery syndrome, persistent or prevalent pain symptoms related to systemic disease (e.g., DPN and PHN), untreated hyperparathyroidism, or a history of prior surgery, trauma or other sources of pain.
Have NOT Failed two courses of treatment with either tricyclic antidepressants or SNRI agents for fibromyalgia (i.e. duloxetine- Cymbalta or milnacipran – Savella, or Effexor)
NO use of any herbal supplements, or any dietary products/supplements with potential central nervous system activity (including kava, SAMe, valerian root, DHEA, tyrosine, and 5-HTP), within 2 weeks
No cost to participate or need for medical insurance. Compensation up to $1550 if you complete the trial.
The study will span approximately 30 weeks (Around 7 months) duration. It comprises of a 4-week Screening period, followed by 12 weeks where you receive treatment, then 12 weeks of the double-blind randomized/withdrawal period where you may or may not receive treatment, followed by 2 weeks of follow up.

UPCOMING COVID VACCINE! STILL LOOKING FOR THAT CURE!

Northern California Research is working with a major pharma company on a new trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of how well a new version of the COVID19 vaccine works against newer variants of the virus. Our new trial will focus on a special group of people ages 50-64 both male and female. Duration of this trial will be 6 months and require 3-5 clinic visits. Compensation will be provided and there will be no cost for medical care of vaccines.

Some criteria to consider:
50-64 years old
NOT received a COVID vaccine 3 months prior to day one of study entry
Nursing home residents are not able to participate
Generally healthy
Certain medications will be prohibited
